My recent visit to Al Rahman Biryani on Lonsdale Street in Dandenong was an absolute delight! This Pakistani restaurant truly offers a memorable dining experience with its well-tuned flavors and friendly atmosphere.
I picked up some food for takeaway, and as a vegetarian, I was very happy with my meal. The channa pulao was aromatic and flavorful, with a pleasant kick of chilli that was more robust than typical Australian restaurants but certainly not overpowering. The samosas were a highlight ā the filling was incredibly flavorful, and the pastry was perfectly flaky and light. The dal was also very good. While waiting for my order, I particularly enjoyed sipping on their delicious milk tea right there in the venue; it was the perfect start!
My non-vegetarian father was equally impressed with his chicken biryani, which is clearly a popular and well-loved dish here. The staff were jovial and friendly throughout our visit, contributing to the casual and comfortable atmosphere.
Although the full menu wasn't immediately displayed in the restaurant, I was able to find a comprehensive one online which was helpful for planning my order.
Overall, I had a very positive experience and will definitely be back! Al Rahman Biryani is a fantastic spot for authentic Pakistani cuisine, catering well to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates, whether you're dining in or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBulling discrimination in fround of customers, as I have seen for too many times. The owner doesn't even know English and he is serving the old foods from one and even two days before and also the food is just like water and chilly nothing else. He is always harassing his employees to work hard and he has put only one person in the front to do all the jobs. The dishes, glasses are not clean. Whenever we were asking him for a plate or glass, he was like ignoring us. There is a girl, she knows how to serve the customer, smiles, respect, helpful, kind, and good girl with more experiences. He is lucky to have her in his resturant otherwise no one's gonna go there with the behavior that he has . Checking chargha is so dry and the waiting time is more than 40 minutes. Lamb biryany is so cold and not frish and also other foods as well. Keers are definitely not frish because he cook for one whole week that why he is not putting the stickers on it Do you guys think is that how to run the business especially the hospitality in Australia. Bro it's not Pakistan or something if you can't, don't do a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been living in Greater Dandenong, Victoria, for over 20 years, and I can honestly say Iāve never come across such tasty, exotic-flavoured biryani anywhere in Australiaāor even overseas. The best biryani at the most reasonable rates can be found at Al Rahman (Pakistani cuisine) in Greater Dandenong.
The prices are unbelievableājust $10 for chicken biryani and $15 for lamb biryaniāand the quality is outstanding. I tried the takeaway lamb biryani, and it was the most delicious and flavourful Iāve ever had. Honestly, one plate is more than enough for two people, with generous portions of meat and perfectly cooked rice.
They also serve the best fish in town, although I found the other curries less impressive. The place is mainly set up for takeaway, with very limited seating available. Service can be a little slow, so Iād recommend calling ahead to place your order rather than waiting.
The biryani is freshly made, with the spice level perfectly balancedānot too strong, but full of flavour. I highly recommend anyone to visit this place and try the lamb biryani. You wonāt be...
