Try giving them feedback and see what you get in return. I’ve been a regular here and after 3 seperate instances where I was made to wait a hour for chilli fritters ( bajji), I thought Ill be smart and rang at 5 pm so I didn’t have to wait so long this time. I was told to come 30 mins later (it takes 5 mins really in a deep fryer if you are prep’d already). So 30 mins later I walk in to find them making the batter and slicing the chillies with no heat to the oil in the deep fryer. I was frustrated but didn’t want to be rude in any way for two reasons. The family love chilli fritters and I didn’t mind the wait and two it was the shop owners/ workers special day - Diwali. But the reason I will never again give my business to them is, the moment I asked her how long more (after 45 mins since I placed the order), the lady’s immediate attention turned to getting me to pay first. Which I did. I wanted to walk out with the much loved snack. But when it was eventually ready and was being handed to me ( with no apology whatsoever) I suggested that she tell customer the exact time, even if that meant an hour so I didn’t have to wait unnecessarily. To my surprise she glared at me from head to toe and turn and did the ‘ I-couldn’t-care-less‘ strut right back into the kitchen. So.. only good so long as you buy their food without any complaint. And while I’m at it, their plates and cutlery stink. You’ll easily find dried leftovers from previous customers stuck to the plates you are served on! Finally the chilli bajji was no good...

I had a craving for authentic Indian food, and Lakshmi Vila's in Dandenong exceeded all my expectations! After reading several honest Google reviews, I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in.
I ordered the Masala Dosa and a lunch plate, and both were absolutely fantastic. The Masala Dosa was packed with deliciously spiced potato, generously filled, and served with a flavorful sambar and chutneys that perfectly complemented the dish.
The lunch plate was also a great choice – it came with three different curries, rice, and a freshly cooked papadum. Everything tasted like it was made with love, as if it was cooked by a family member. It was comforting, flavorful, and completely vegetarian, which I appreciated.
If you're looking for a place with authentic Indian flavors, hearty portions, and warm hospitality, I highly recommend Lakshmi Vila's. I will...
Read moreWent yesterday on a good chilly evening and sat down amongst 10's of other onlookers awaiting their food which surely made me aware that waiting period will be high but as I went to grab the menu, I saw two ladies working hard effortlessly to prepare the food absolutely fresh and tasty.
We took our sweet time to order as the menu doesn't have one liner explanation, but that's fine, if you Google it, you will get exact answers. And ordered 3 different items like Vada and idli, masala dosa and podu dosa which came in one by one.
Boy the food was really awesome and it wasn't too spicy at all and best is it's made fresh and was so damn tasty....we could not resist the taste so much but we had to get some sambar as takeaway from them..
Not just food but service was too impressive and they were so warm, highly recommend if you want to enjoy such amazing...
