Dandenong Plaza was normally a bustling and vibrant place, filled with shoppers and tourists alike. But on this particular day, the corridors were eerily quiet.
As Mary made her way through the Plaza, she couldn't help but notice the strange smell that seemed to be emanating from one of the stores. It was a mixture of rotten eggs and sour milk, and it was making her feel nauseous.
She tried to hold her breath as she walked past the store, but the smell was too strong. She covered her nose and mouth with her shirt and quickened her pace, eager to get out of the Plaza as soon as possible.
As she approached the exit, she saw a group of people gathered around a store that was emitting an even stronger, more putrid smell. She couldn't see what was causing the smell, but she could hear the sound of people retching and gagging.
Mary's stomach turned as she realized that she had left her car keys in the store where the first bad smell had been. She hesitated for a moment, wondering if she should just call a tow truck and leave her keys behind. But then she remembered that she had left her wallet in the car, and she couldn't afford to get a ride home.
With a deep sigh, Mary made her way back into the Plaza, trying to hold her breath as she passed the store with the worst smell. She was relieved to find that the store with her keys was relatively free of the odor, and she was able to retrieve her keys and wallet without incident.
As she made her way back to her car, she couldn't help but wonder what could be causing such terrible smells in the Plaza. She made a mental note to avoid the area until the issue was resolved, and she vowed to never leave her keys or wallet in...
Read moreHad a very disrespectful encounter with the Home Bargains employee today who was all alone at the store assisting all customers. I needed help with gift boxes on the shelves and yelling at me i will not open all boxes for you. I said look i only need to see that box. She only took one set of box down after 3 requests. Then going again to the register when no customer are there ignoring me. Upon approach requested for a complaint no or call her manager she refuses. Refuses to give me a name or when her Manager will come so I speak to Him. Calling me ‘Fxxx word, i am not your slaves and you customers just leave things down and we do everything, now call your lawyer and sue me…’
She spoke to her Manager in her language. I finally found Home Bargain No and called him. Upon pick up the Manager just blasted at me and will call security to kick me out. I said ‘I have contacted you so let me at least speak.’ ‘No you are rude, you are wrong i know everything..’
An absolute disrespect approach by both Manager and Team member. All customers deserve the basic respect and you can’t take out your anger or energy level on them. There is a decency of saying no to customers without being rude or yelling at them.
I didn’t even get what i needed and left the store with no witness or evidence of such encounter.
I then made a complaint to the Dandenong Plaza...

I've been coming to Dandenong Plaza (now being rebranded as Dandenong Square) for a few years, and have watched as big chains like Myer, Big W, Target, and Daiso up and leave the site. I suspect others might follow suit, and much to our dissapointment as shoppers.
There is a need to do a complete overhaul of the site and renew the facilities to allow big chains to return or completely spruce up the area - Aldi in particular is very small in comparison to what Aldi Dandenong Market offered in store size. I often park on the same level to access Aldi and was followed by a man who later asked me and another woman in the parking lot for money. Why do we need to deal with such individuals on our shop?
The fact that drug addicts, drunks or homeless use parts of the complex to ask for money or hassle people (I've read the reviews unfortunately some have had very bad experiences) is unacceptable.
I am awaiting this complex to become lively with what it can potentially offer all it's shoppers. And have become increasingly frustrated that it once use to be a much loved complex, and has now become rather dull and offers only certain shops for us to use and leads to some of us avoiding the...
