Golden Harvest Motor Inn — Hotel in Moree

Firstly, I wasn't able to stay at the Golden Harvest Motel in Moree.. We had driven from Young in NSW and were passing through Narrabri that day and were intending to call into see my terminally ill Uncle in the local Nursing Home. As we actually entered Narrabri, (where my Uncle was) and which was our last stop before arriving at Moree, my Uncle Norm DID actually pass away while we were there in Narrabri! We stayed elsewhere that night to be with family. The person in Reception then charged my CC Account the full amount for Accomodation for that night, even though we would NOT have got to the Office in time to check in and to be honest, I was so upset with my Uncles death, I did not 'think' to ring and cancel the Motel. On ringing the Golden Harvest Motel, I spoke with a woman who was very unsympathetic and asked me to provide proof of my Uncles' death by forwarding his DEATH CERTIFICATE! This woman was rude and kept saying that they had turned away bookings, however when I asked her for that 'proof' just as she had requested my Uncles' Death Certificate, she became verbally agitated and accused me of 'abusing her'.. At all times I was calm and attempting to reach a suitable compromise. This woman abruptly hung up and so I left a calm, quietly spoken message asking her to PLEASE return my call and that I was 'disappointed' in her unprofessional attitude to customer contact. When she did ring back, again she spoke over me and then accused me AGAIN of 'abusing her'!! AGAIN she terminated our conversation abruptly... SHE...

I recently stayed at the Golden Harvest Motor Inn and had a generally positive experience. The rooms were great—clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and friendly, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and hassle-free.

However, I did find the pricing to be slightly on the higher side for what it is. One of the main drawbacks was the parking situation. The parking spaces are quite small and tight, so if you're driving anything larger than a Ute, you might struggle to park in the allocated space.

On the bright side, the location is convenient with several dining options nearby. There's a KFC just across the road, a McDonald's close by, and a Chinese takeaway almost next door, so you won’t have to go far to grab a meal.

All in all, it was a comfortable stay with a few minor inconveniences. Would recommend if you're looking for a clean and friendly place to stay, but just be mindful of the parking if you're driving a...

Needed a place to stage for one night on our way back home after a 2 week trip. Checked with TA and Booking.com and landed on this place for A$109/night for a double room. Check-in was easy as the desk is attended until 7pm. We arrived at 3pm and it was pretty dead, but by the evening the parking lot was full! The rooms are very well appointed (microwave, toaster, kettle fridge, plates/bowls and cutlery, even a minibar) and very clean. Yes, the bathrooms are a bit dated, but all was very functional with lots of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. The bed was a tad stiff for us, but it didn’t stop us from having a great night sleep. Many families were there, but it was dead quiet by 9pm.
