Maria Motel — Hotel in Moree

The motel is located a few minutes walk from the famous Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre. Its close enough that I changed into my swimsuit, covered myself with a towel and walked in my thongs to the centre, and back.||||I'd come to Moree to spend time at the Artesian Spa and that's what I did. The water was warm and the atmosphere lively. ||||My room was spacious and well furnished. The room, ensuite and kitchenette were all spotlessly clean. The kitchen was equipped with pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, etc etc with a hotplate, microwave, toaster and kettle - all in excellent condition. There was a table and chairs so one could sit down and comfortably eat a meal.||||The motel was happy for guests to take the motel's towel(s) to the aquatic centre - only requesting that specifically provided towels be taken, which was perfectly understandable.||||A/c, tv and free wifi worked well.||||The motel owners were very friendly and hospitable, happy to provide guidance and directions when requested.||||I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would...

The motel itself is the closest to the Aquatic Centre, and there is a pub within a hundred yards that sells decent food. ||The rooms and grounds of the motel were clean, though it felt a little ramshackled and quite close together.|| The rooms were a decent size and had tv, air con, microwave, kettle, fridge and a hot plate so you can cook basic meals. There is also a communal bbq that was spotless, and a larger indoor communal kitchen that was a little less spotless but still fine. ||There are tables and chairs in a small garden where you could sit and relax in the evening. Management were super friendly and helpful. ||As an aside, there is a local soft drink manufacturer diagonally across the road, so you can pick up a local creaming soda or cola.||Pros: Almost everything.|Cons: the motel grounds are quite compact.|I was told the area is a little unsavoury at night, but it was nice during the day.||Overall, I'd stay there again...
