Rooms are in need of an upgrade, very 90's/00's feel about the place down to the "best vacation winner" awards from 20 years ago (2002/2003) placard in the lobby lol. It's not bad, the rooms have everything one needs, just we had come from another place that had just had an upgrade so it really highlighted the age of this particular room/building and the fixtures and fittings are working fine just 30 years old. Where led lights have been put these are the first gen ones and some were still fluorescent tubes (yuck!). Annoying to have to switch on light switchs then mess with remotes to get the cheap lights to turn on off. These are minor issues however as the place has a friendly concierge and great views from the room and everything you need is included (plates, bowls etc etc). Just old fashioned by today's standards. Mind little ones hands in the pool as my youngest cut himself rather badly (he was silly and put his hands in the pools side vent thingy but kids do these stupid things) there was a full first aid kit there which was handy to patch him up.

Fabulous place right opposite beach 2 bed apartment was more spacious that I thought. Lots.of cafes and restaurants short stroll away. Although we stayed in may out of peak season I thought it was well priced for where it is. 2 separate complexes some permanent residents 2 pools one cold one heated. It can be a bit noisey especially first thing in the morning with bin collections cars leaving etc and there was a.loud noise at times hot water cylinder or toilet maybe? Also the main bedroom light didnt work but wouldnt deter us from staying again especially if we had the same room. We stayed in room 'collections 2' Was a lovely stay.

An amazing location, but the rooms have fallen apart since the 1990s and have not been maintained well. The air vents are disgusting, water pressure and temperature drops out intermittently and the property is in a very poor condition. Does not meet expectations of the Seashells brand or come close to a 4 star hotel, the reception staff were particularly rude and unhelpful every time I had to deal with them. Would not recommend.

The travellers, my husband and his cousin travelling around Australia, were arriving by a late flight from Sydney - the property was notified about it and they left the key in the box. However, the directions to the apartment was not clear in the map. The guys had large heavy suitcases which they had to carry around while they looked for the apartment. At one point they called the caretaker, whose number was provided in case any assistance was needed. After several ring outs, the caretaker finally answered in a very sleepy voice and said 'you've got your key, I can't do anything'. Finally, an elderly couple joined them in finding the apartment and finally located it.|The apartment seemed to be falling in pieces. It was like a roach motel - smelled musty and unaired, the carpet had stains and possibly not been cleaned for ages, the paint was peeling and there was mould in the corners and skirting. There was only one small air-conditioniner in the lounge (this should have been left on to cool the place) and the entire apartment was hot and stifling.|The pictures posted about the hotel and the apartment did not match the real thing. My husband and his cousin were so disgusted by this point of time that they just left.|We are seasoned travellers and have travelled extensively in Australia, but this is possibly the worst experience when it comes to a hotel which has been listed on sites like TripAdvisor and Booking.com - guests go with certain expectations in mind and are so disappointed and disgusted when they see the reality that they are forced to leave in the middle...

My son (who has a disability)and i booked Seashells Scarborough for our yearly getaway. We'd never been to Perth, so we felt Scarborough was a good middle point for sightseeing. We found Seashells. We booked 9 nights from Oct 24, 2024, to Nov 2nd, 2024. We were so happy. Great location, ideal for what we needed. Our unit was on the 4th floor and they have a lift. Our unit was older and is going to be renovated (it has newish furnishings now). Underground secure parking was a bonus. The heated pool was being renovated so, out of service during our stay, but we made use of the other pool. The whole place was so quiet, it was lovely. We had a balcony right on the front so the sunsets were awesome. Minutes walk to Coles and eateries. Loved seeing the Indian Ocean each morning and evening. The kitchen had all we needed and the washer/dryer were handy. We even had a second toilet in our unit. But I want to shout out to the lovely lady on reception, Helen. She was delightful. Such a lovely lady who helped us out and always had a smile and was friendly. We enjoyed our trip so much, we'll definitely be back and will recommend to...
