Scarborough beach is really nice and clean. The area was recently redone and it looks amazing. The facilities around the beaches are also quite nice. They have a snake pit skating and bouldering area as well as playground and grassy areas to lounge around in. The amphitheater was also quite interesting. There was also a public pool in the area too where you are able to swim and lounge about. It was really nice to walk along the paths by the beach. Everything was clean and it was easy to get around. There are also shops and restaurants on the other side of the road. We were there during winter but it was still quite hot and busy. I can see it getting packed during summer.
