Brighton Beach — Attraction in Scarborough

I came here with a friend to go kite surfing and had a great time. There's a dog beach not too far down from the popular wind and kite surfing beach. People jog and walk their dogs here, most people are friendly and the surfers are happy to strike up a conversation about the conditions. There's lots of nice grass and shade to sit in, and a cafe and toilets close by. A big plus is that there's heaps of parking, although try to leave the bays closer to the water free for the surfers, it just makes packing up a lot easier. Our beaches are world class and this is no exception. Parking is definitely the downside here depending on the time and day. Come down and swim between the flags. It would be nice if our beaches had the option of lockers to store belongings so you could swim in peace. Very nice beach and not very crowded. I only gave 4 stars as it's mainly a dog beach and unfortunately I don't like dogs. When you walk on the track to the beach there is dog .... waste from owners who don't clean up after their dog/s, so you have to watch out for that on the sand on the actual...
