The worst experience at a Coles supermarket ever! Unfortunately, anything good regarding this store was overridden by the absolutely terrible customer service! I even called the store whilst waiting in line twice, both times the phone rang out which you could understand staff are busy but when you standing there waiting and watching multiple staff together having a joke, chatting about their plans, whilst looking at the line of people with no one attending to us, makes it hard to justify why no one was at the counter. Love seeing Yvonne who has worked at Coles forever, excellent customer service. Parking can be an issue on weekends. I went to Coles today 19th April and Emily (I think that was her name) served me while her Manager talked to her the whole time about her holiday leave, I even had to wait while they kept talking to find out how much my groceries were. I said sorry for interrupting your conversation and the Manager responded with thats alright. I found this as rude and not good customer service at all. Surely the Manager could speak to his staff when they aren't busy with customers. This has made me not to return to Coles...

Went to Coles in Scarborough to get some frozen peas for my kids dinner at 8:53pm. They close at 9pm. I was told they were closed by a very arrogant employee and he couldn't let me in. I explained that all I needed were the peas. It would've taken 2 minutes for me to get it all done. The guy was rude and adamant he couldn't let me in. If they were apologetic and explained they had a policy not to let people in some time earlier than the 9pm close that would be fine. But, the guy was clearly on some sort of strange power trip. I'm on holiday from Melbourne....
