Lupa must work on the principle of less is more taken to the limit - nothing is more!!! The restaurant looks modern and attractive from outside. However, the pizzas are so far below average its not funny and they charge a better than premium price. $21 for 1 30cm diameter pizza takeaway! The base is marginal in quality (fairly sloppy in the centre), the topping is close to non-existent! Had a margarita - 4 small basil leaves across an extraordinarily thin and tasteless tomato sauce. Also ordered a bocconcini and prosciutto pizza - a few slices of prosciutto and two sad small bocconcini on a tasteless barely there sauce. I doubt there is a worse pizza in Wollongong - except perhaps Dominos - which is just across the road - but at least Dominos charges a price that matches the quality of their pizza. The only reason to go to Lupa is if you want to waste money on sub standard pizza - one star is too generous. The owners must be laughing all the way...

A great restaurant to go to for an Italian pizza experience.

The service was excellent. The staff were very accommodating. Notifying us of the wait times during peak sitting. Hearing that lets us prepare that there will be waiting times and we can tolerate it.

The food was delicious, we ordered 2 family sized pizzas and 2 pasta dishes as well as 2 serves of garlic bread.

That catered for 4 adults and 2 kids under 5. There was plenty, the food and drinks were spaced out evenly so we felt really full with the amount served.

The chef also offered us complimentary gelato for our 2 children. It absolutely made their night.

I would definitely come here again and recommend it to anyone looking for an...

We booked a table for 630, arrived about 625, got in and seated (were placed directly in front of the door but that’s fine). Two groups of walk ins came in about 5 minutes after and got their orders taken and drinks. Was waiting 20 minutes no one took our orders or even asked if we wanted a drink. One of the walk ins that came in after us had been given their entrees by this point. Tried to get someone’s attention to take our order and they gave a hand signal to say a minute. Waited another 5 minutes then left. 30 minutes for other people who arrived after us to get their entrees and we didn’t even get asked for our order was ridiculous. Left for il niddos in balgownie because their customer service is...

Look, the pizza base was nice enough but we had the Patate and it was just a bit bland :/ Garlic bread was fine, but the Nidi pasta dish I could 100% do better and I’m not a chef by any stretch. Service-wise, no one greeted us when we came in, we waited nearly 15 mins for someone to take our drinks order, and when we asked if we could order food they said no because they were too busy. 10 mins later we were allowed to order and eventually got our food nearly an hour after we arrived. The staff were pleasant, but I think they were just a bit stretched. Atmosphere - no music and no soft furnishings so the chatter just bounces around and the lighting is akin to an ice rink cafe.

Great low-fuss restaurant. Not the most ambient restaurant I've visited in Wollongong (think bare tables and large windows looking onto a busy street), but the vibe was warm and relaxed and the food was good. The woodfired pizza bases were delicious, the toppings were simple and wholesome, and the staff were friendly. The garden salad we ordered alongside our pizzas was unfortunately quite oily, but that could undoubtedly be addressed next time through a request to the wait staff at the time of ordering. Worth the visit
