Stonegrill Steakhouse — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

If i could give negative stars I would. Extremely overpriced menu espessially when you have to cook your own food. The entrees were terrible. Scollop entree dish was over cooked and hard to pallet, Make sure you ask how many rice balls you get in the rice ball entree for $17 answer is.. 3 tiny balls that were absolutely bland over cooked and full of cooking oil daylight robbery. Meat was was ok, except for the platters. The cooked vegatables , served stone cold. There was not enough heat left in the stone to re cook them let alone cook the steak. Portion sizes are for children. I highly reccomend to any food lover to avoid this restaurant. We would have been better off dinning else where. I dont mind paying good money for a good experiance with good food, this place has neither. -10/10. If you read this review and think I am exaggerating, go punish your self and try it out. 5 STARS! We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Stonegrill Steakhouse Wollongong for the first time to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and it was phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel incredibly welcome, but a special shoutout must go to Shyanne (I hope I’ve spelled that right!) who went above and beyond to make the night unforgettable.

Shyanne was not only warm, upbeat, and full of personality, but her knowledge of the menu and helpful guidance truly elevated our dining experience. She made fantastic recommendations and took such great care of us, ensuring every detail was perfect.

To top it all off, she surprised my partner with a complimentary dessert of his choice to celebrate their birthday — such a thoughtful and memorable touch. You honestly don’t come across service like this anymore.

Our entire table was blown away, and we’re already talking about coming back. Thank you Shyanne and the team for making it such a special night — you’re a credit to the venue!

Although the stars are lower, this place is a great place to go with friends or family. I've rated it lower though as you often need to line up for a while and the line is often slow. I put this down to the kitchen frequently running out of things on the menu so then people need to reread the menu to decide what else to have. I've learnt now to go to the counter with 3 options and hope that one of them is available!

The service behind the counter is often not very friendly (maybe because customers are frustrated their meal is not available) but the floor staff are great! The bar staff are great too and more than happy to make up creative cocktails!

The gin bar component is wonderful!

The food, once it arrives, is usually good. I've only had one meal which was dry and awful but the rest (and there have been many!) Are great! It is a bit expensive though.
