Just returned from Lech and our stay at Petersboden Hotel in Oberlech. We have had a really lovely holiday and the staff made us feel exceptionally welcome. There are some lovely hotels in Oberlech itself, all of which are fairly convenient for ski in ski out and Petersboden Hotel is one of these favourable hotels. ||From the ski room there are only a few strides up onto the piste and then you will be snapping on your skis. Its easier to ski down into Lech from here, but you can opt to walk approx 50 mts on a slight incline to the Petersboden chair lift and therefore cuts out the need for skiing down to the 4 man chair lift which comes up from the main resort. On your return at the end of the day, you can ski almost to the hotel ski room door! Wonderful!!||The hotel is small and very personable. Our room was a Luxury suite and this was at the back of the hotel overlooking a woodland area and views of the valley towards Zürs. Our room also had a side window too, which was overlooking the piste & the ski school hut, which was next door. Our room was modern, spacious and very comfortable with ample storage wardrobes etc. Our lovely maid who looked after our room knew it was my husband’s birthday and she made a fab job of decorating our bed and room. It was a surprise when we got back after our ski day. The restaurant staff also delivered a lovely small chocolate cake at the breakfast table too! All lovely - thank you Petersboden Hotel. ||Breakfast - The food was great and there was always adequate choice of help yourself options on display. There’s also a menu for further hot options available to order from the kitchen. The hotel’s homemade bread was amazingly delicious. Dinner was selected at breakfast for later and there was alway the choice of meat, fish or veggie options. Whatever we chose it was good and very tasty. The wine list featured a good selection of mainly Austrian wines. There is a comfy small lounge area where we played cards in the evening following our meal. This area didn't have a bar, but the staff were very helpful and attentive at bringing is what we wanted. ||The hotel features a lovely spa and outdoor 25 mt swimming pool, but we never seemed to have the inclination to exercise further rolling a fab days ski around the extensive interesting ski area. ||We very much look forward to returning...
Read moreWe have been coming to Obelech for a good few years, during which time we have stayed at a number of hotels. We have always liked the quality of food and accommodation offered by the hotels on the plateau, the spa areas, and the convenience of ski in and ski out as well as the huge ski area and quality of pistes. ||||In January 2022 we tried the Petersboden for our first return after Covid and were well received. We found it a bit tired with the spa area definitely needing a facelift. Nevertheless the room we had was spacious and comfortable, the food acceptable, the staff extremely professional and welcome, and it was a short walk (20 metres to the Petersboden lift up, or you can ski from the door down to Lech and catch the lift up).so we booked again for January 2023.||||To say that the hotel has upped its game is an understatement. Most of the features of the hotel were the same, but the quality of food was exceptional and worthy of a Michelin Star on occasions (with the exception of poached eggs at breakfast where more practice is required - undercooked), and the spa area has been completely revamped and modernised with 2 saunas, steam room, numerous quiet areas for chilling, a good sized gym with new exercise bikes and running machine as well as weights etc, and the pièce de résistance - a 25 metre heated outdoor pool. Doing a few lengths in the dark with snow falling and the moon shining up above was a real experience.||||We will...
Read moreWe stayed one week in Hotel Petersboden and had a great time. Our room was very comfortable, and we had a fantastic view over the center of Oberlech. We received a warm welcome from Mrs. Stundner and the complete staff. During our complete stay we felt at home. The Petersboden Hotel is a well-established value in Oberlech and has the advantage of direct access from within the ski-room to the slopes. On the culinary side, only superlatives. The chef impressed us every evening. Petersboden is known for very good steaks. The breakfast is fantastic, the lunch at noon is always an event. Good and quick service. We hope to come back next year! Thank you to the staff for giving us a...
