Pizzeria Ristorante Olympia — Local services in Gemeinde Lech

I was walking past this establishment one cold January evening and thought I’d support the local business as there weren’t many patrons dining inside… this should have been my first red flag.

Upon sitting down, I was aggressively encouraged to order drinks and a starter (red flag number 2). I politely declined as I was waiting for the remainder of my party to arrive.

Unfortunately for the other kind waitstaff, the one bald smug Italian waiter ruined our impression of their service. He was loud, unaccommodating, and sly.

The cherry on the cake (ie. red flag number 3) was when he charged extra for cutting a pizza in half and putting it on two separate plates. Last time I checked, that almost sounds like a standard (free of charge) service all authentic family oriented pizzerias should offer?

Food was acceptable but overpriced, one particular sour waiter needs his manners renewed, however, fortunately our night was saved by good company!

3 red flags for me and I’m out. Better options in Lech - such as a microwave pizza and protein pudding from the Spar...

Tonight I dined at Olympia cafe, from the start the waiter was rushed and stormed away from the table when we asked for an extra minute to decide on what to order. (He was the bald gentleman, The other 2 waiters were quite friendly, perhaps they could teach their friend some manners.)

Compared to other restaurants in town they are extremely poor at handling food allergies.

Pro tip: They charge an extra €5 for bringing an extra plate if you want share a pizza, so just order the pizza on one plate

I will say, if nowhere else is available, the food is adequate and prices are fine. However there is a reason this place has available tables every night. I recommend you do yourself a favor and book a table at Schneggarei.

We will not be returning.

Incredibly busy restaurant, fully staffed by Italians. Sat at the bar as I was alone which was ok. I managed to order a drink, receive drink and order food without the waiter saying one word to me which is impressive. But the guy who seated me and the one who I paid were super friendly. The pizza was really excellent, it didn't disintegrate into a mushy cheesy mess and the toppings were good quality. Given that it's one of the cheaper places to eat I was really surprised. Only have one more night here but I will be there...
