Pension Rudolfshöhe — Hotel in St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut

We cannot say enough good things about this accommodation. The "room" was really a small apartment with a living area/kitchenette separate from the bedroom. The rooms were all impeccably clean and welcoming. Quiet. Homey. We couldn't believe the space we had! As well, the location is perfect. It is a short walk to the town, to the hikes around the area and within easy reach of all restaurants. Breakfast was just fine and we were offered options that would be cooked as well as the buffet. ||||Now for the best part- the hospitality. Honestly we were impressed from the moment we arrived and were greeted in English at our car by our names, to the moment with left with a handshake and a thanks. Nothing was too much trouble. Kindness, respect and just a continuing desire to make our lives better. Our stay better. ||||Our whole stay in St Wolfgang was just perfect. We even had dinner in the attached restaurant and enjoyed it too. If you do decide to go to St Wolfgang first, you MUST stay here. As well if you are here on a Tuesday go to the local concert in town. Yes it is for the tourists but it is delivered with such care, and such joy - to hear the music of the area is a splendid treat. ||||What a truly lovely experience all around and we recommend this hotel without any reservations. We booked directly via email and got a good deal for a 3 night stay with breakfast. This is a family run pension managed by Florian and his mom Christine. We stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment which was literally a dream and had everything from a fireplace to a fully functionally kitchen and a wonderful bathroom with a shower as well as a bathtub. The views were to die for! The location is very very close to walk to the main tourist places but luckily just far enough not to be disturbed by the tourists from the daytrip visits. While the apartment was spacious with modern decor and furnishings, spotlessly clean, beautiful and perfect in every way, I cannot say if the apartment itself impressed me more or the service provided by the owner Florian. Even during Christmas time, he was just a message away and helped us light the fireplace and gave me his own converter when I was unable to charge my camera with the converter I had carried. He suggested sight seeing and transport options and thanks to him we did the most scenic trek in that area. Even at breakfast he treated us with hospitality that you typically would not find anywhere in Europe, taking care personally to ensure that we were served well. We will definitely be coming back to this...

Having been to St Wolfgang many years ago I was keen to go back and not disappointed with the choice of hotel.||We had a lake view room which had a wrap around balcony (we even sat out for coffee on Christmas Day!).||Huge double bedroom with the bed facing the patio doors and lake and mountain view. Lovely shower bathroom with hairdryer supplied and plenty of space to put belongings. ||Immaculately clean and could not fault the property at all. Every area was spotless and clean. ||The reception area has a wealth of maps, places to visit and where to go which was useful.||Breakfast was continental and plentiful. Cereals, breads, cakes, fruits, yogurts, eggs, cold meats and cheese. If it ran low we just had to ask and it was replenished.||The owners were very friendly and gave us good advice on places...
