Altroiterhof — Local services in St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut

We recently enjoyed a week-long stay at Altroit as a family of three (two adults and a one-year-old baby), and our experience was nothing short of exquisite!

Facilities The entire apartment was a testament to high-end finishes and meticulous attention to detail. Every room, from the living area to the bedrooms and bathroom, was beautifully appointed with top-quality materials and modern design. The kitchen was especially impressive, featuring a modern stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a comprehensive range of utensils and cookware. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals, which made our stay feel like a home away from home. Additionally, there was a convenient storage area where we could securely store and charge our bikes, an amenity we truly valued. The thoughtful touches, like the complimentary coffee and sweets, added an extra layer of hospitality and warmth to our stay. The attention to detail in every aspect of the apartment showcased the owners' commitment to providing a top-quality experience.

Location The location was perfect for us! It is set away from tourist crowds, offering a peaceful and serene environment surrounded by nature. The view of the lake from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking, making breakfast a particularly enjoyable experience. The 10-minute walk to the city center (700m with a 75m elevation) might seem a bit steep, but we found it to be a pleasant activity.

Staf The Strobl family welcomed us warmly and were always polite and eager to assist. They provided valuable information about local attractions, restaurants, and bakeries, which greatly enhanced our stay.

Our overall experience was amazing, and we would definitely book a stay here again!

If I had to make an improvement recommendation, it would be to address the internet connection, as it was sometimes unstable and slow. Additionally, having a designated smoking area away from the balconies and windows of the apartments would be beneficial. Smoke from the ground floor terrace can drift into the rooms and balconies of the first-floor apartments, which can be bothersome if the windows are open. These are merely suggestions to further improve the experience for future guests.

We stayed in the "Wolfgangsee" room and I must say it was perfect. Very nicely furnished, perfect view, good quiet location away from the town, dog friendly. The owners were nice and helpful. The only minor negative I could find was that the wifi was quite unstable. Two advices for potential visitors: if arriving in wintertime, do not forget your snow chains. I had a wonderful stay at Altroiterhof on mid-September.
