Restaurant Hubertuskeller — Restaurant in St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut

Location is nice. We had a positive experience two years ago. This time it was disappointing in several aspects and we probably won't return.

The waiter was obviously stressed due to overwhelm and gruffly warded off potential guests who saw vacant tables. That did not create a hospitable or comfortable atmosphere. The vegetarian zucchini dish was undercooked, cold, hard and carelessly prepared. Our complaint was met with resistance. The other dish was okay, not spectacular, not outstanding, but good.

A smart business makes an effort to turn it around: to listen, to understand and to simply make the guest happy in some way so he/she comes back, or, at least to avoid a low star review. It could have made all the difference. No attempt...

A good address if you are in St. Wolfgang, and you want to taste delicious dishes from Upper Austria. The decor is rustic, with tasty wines, venison, and other traditional dishes. This time, I opted for the chanterelles salad and shared a chanterelles sauce "mit servietten knodel" with my husband. The waiter was very nice and the service was fast! It was perfect! They open the restaurant from 11.30 to 9.30 PM. The phone number to make a reservation is on their site. St Wolfgang is a touristic little town, and so they are closed from end of October to Easter excluded. They have chairs and menu for kids. One can find tables outside or inside the restaurant. :(( Keine Weiterempfehlung!! Mit außen HUI und innen PFUI trifft es das negative Ergebnis für mich am besten. Eine herbe Enttäuschung und Zumutung, für all jene, die anhand der Fotos ein komplett anderes Restaurant erwarten. Mitten im Ortskern! Jeder stolpert rein!! Weil von außen viel versprochen wird. Die Tische können leider nur drinnen reserviert werden, warum auch immer!? Das Ambiente im Inneren war für meine Begriffe extrem abgetragen, lieblos dekoriert, ein alter Auerhahn ober uns und eine Plastikblume am Tisch sagte für mich schon alles!! Das bestellte Kalbsschnitzel war vom SCHWEIN und triefte vor Schmalz, extrem lasche helle Panier. Kein Geschmack. Die Kellnerin war zwar bemüht, wollte mir aber als "Wienerin das Kalb einreden".. War aber eindeutig vom Schwein -Kalb wurde trotzdem verrechnet mit über 24 Euro. Die Petersil Erderäpfel waren total zerkocht und wässrig, die Butter schmeckte eigenartig. Der Salat meines Mannes sah schockierend aus und wurde mit den Worten "ja stimmt, ist wirklich nicht schön angerichtet" zurück genommen.. Die Küche entschuldigte sich mit einer Crepes,.. Auch der Gang zur Toilette war nicht schön und nicht sauber. Für diese teuren Preise, erwarte ich zu 150% mehr an Qualität. Schade, wir haben uns schon sehr auf diesen letzten Abend im Urlaub gefreut, darum nur 1 Stern. Wir kommen sicher nicht wieder und empfehlen dieses Lokal AUCH NICHT WEITER. Petra und...
