Das Éden — Restaurant in St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut

We stopped by for dinner after a long day hiking trip. So maybe it was because of the sports clothes....anyways we ordered risotto with asparagus, pizza eden and salad. The waiter specifically asked if we wanted the salad as an apetizer or together with the pizza and we said we wanted it with the pizza. Also the waiter warned us that the waiting time for risotto is about 20 mins which was ok for us. My boyfriend got the pizza really quickly but without the salad and I had to wait for my risotto. In my opinion this shouldn't be done, they should bring the meals at the same time. It took 45 mins to make the risotto and guess what - now they brought also the salad which my boyfriend asked to eat together with the pizza. So I'd say quite a poor service. When it comes to taste of the food, pizza was good, but the "Italian" risotto was terrible. The rice was partially undone and the meal was very watery, not creamy as it should be. The waiter was trying to persuade me that it's bacause it's "fresh" (whatever it was supposed to mean) and it's how the Italians make it. They should call it just "rice dish", because it...

I should have checked out the ratings and not just gone on a recommendation. Out of towners wanted a quiet pizza. There seemed like no outside seating jealously guarded by seemingly a headwaiter who didn’t want to do anything with us. Possibly just being Austrian. So we went looking for inside seating and a kind young waitress took us to the only table left which was facing a wall. My better half and I were debating this location when the head waiter came storming in, berating the young waitress and then complaining to someone senior about the table being reserved. And we were unceremoniously told to look elsewhere to eat. Now this may all be the Austrian way and we have just been guests for the last 5 days eating every meal / drinks outside. I visited this place with my mom (Thursday 3rd Jul), hoping to enjoy a quiet coffee break. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. As soon as we began speaking English, the service became noticeably cold and unwelcoming. The staff member who assisted us was rude and didn’t seem interested in providing good service. After informing her that we were only there for drinks, we were essentially ignored for the rest of our visit. We felt completely overlooked, and the lack of attentiveness was disappointing.
