Saltys — Restaurant in South Caye Caulker

Incredible time at Salty's live music. Strongly reco going when Valentino is there. All kinds of island life music covered so well. Country to 80s anthems to new age boat rock. Had us singing every word snd staying for 2 hours after we popped by for one nightcap before home. Thanks for the excellent music.

Live music in the sand is always a perk. Nice variety of seating available. Music not too loud to begin with but you can sit on the roof if you want a bit quieter. Private pier provides nice swings and insane star viewing.

We joined for dinner on a separate occasion. Food was flavourful but quite greasy. I had the veggie fry, my mate had a burger. After some napkin dabbing, they were quite delicious still. Don't think I'd return for food, but for happy hour and live music...

On a trip where we had so many great experiences, unfortunately the trip to the salty crab was disappointing. We accept the go slow mentality of the island, but this was extreme. The service was poor - we were having to flag down bud boys to get drink refills. And there aren't that many tables on the upstairs patio. The downstairs was empty the night we were there, and it was literally 45 minutes between when we saw food get served to any patrons. Once it did get delivered, it was mediocre. I had to pivot to the rib-eye based on there being no lobster left, and it was a tiny cut of meat. The highlight of the evening was the performance by Ivan the Great. . Saltys on Caye Caulker is the place you go for the vibes and stay for the people, especially because of Randy, Larry, Evelyn, Noel,and can’t forget Silvia. This crew is just awesome. Randy and Larry are the kings of the bar, serving up laughs as easily as they do drinks. Evelyn’s got this amazing way of making sure everyone’s looked after, feeling all cozy and welcome. And Silvia? She’s the cherry on top, bringing her own unique flair to the team, making sure everyone’s visit is memorable. They all just make you want to hang out longer. Seriously, a visit to Saltys means good times, thanks to this fantastic foursome. They’re the kind of people who turn a simple outing into a highlight...
