Its proximity to Plaza 25 de Mayo and other historical sites is a great advantage. It is housed in a characterful building with an indoor and outdoor courtyard. The Hostal does not offer parking, but good Wi-Fi reception is free. Laundry service is available, but make a list before dropping off your laundry and check your laundry on your return. Staff are friendly and helpful. Like many centrally located accommodations, Paola Hostal is known for street noise. Cars and motorbikes in Sucre, for unknown reason, have their exhaust pipes shortened to produce the sound of a sportscar driving through a tunnel in the cramped streets. Ask for a room far from the street.

In April 2025, our room 303 was on 3F at the front of the hotel. No lift, so you have to carry your luggage yourself, no porters on hand. The room is well kept and had three single clean beds (a bit short), a bathroom with bathtub and refrigerator. No tissues of hair dryer valiable. Street noise was clearly a problem, so sleeping with the balcony door open was not an option and sleep quality was low the first night. We asked for a quieter room: no problem. The very small but oh-so-quiet room 205 was available. Great service. Between 7.30-9.30 AM the hotel serves a simple breakfast with eggs, toast, juices, coffee and tea in the cafeteria on 1F. Good start of the day.

Hostal pequeño pero cómodo y acogedor. Sus ambientes son agradables, cómodos, limpios y con buena atención. La ubicación es cercana a la plaza central. No tiene garaje pero se pueden dejar los vehículos en la puerta durante la noche. Los costos son intermedios. Incluye desayuno bastante sencillo pero agradable.
