Overall this was value for money (tourists) and an experience but not something I will be doing again. The food while interesting was on the bland side. The courses were also very close together and too large a portion for a tasting menu. They also did not provide new cutlery for each course which is a must coming from a European perspective. The wine list was also very small and while affordable and fine I would have preferred a more extensive list. Overall the service and attention to detail was good and the atmosphere was nice. Some dishes were exceptional and had some really nice elements but not to our groups taste (6+). If you are looking for a very affordable tasting experience then this is for you if not there are other places in Sucre I would rather go to. As a vegetarian a personal note is on accommodation to dietary requirements. The option to repeat courses while not conventional was an interesting touch but not needed as their vegetarian alternatives were some of my highlights. Some difficulty at the end of our meal with counting cash by their staff which also added to a level of stress and confusion when leaving the restaurant. While we understand this was an honest mistake at the time it felt that with more care it could have...

The food on the tasting menu was varied and delicious. However, we were absolutely starving after the meal as each course was incredible small and it took 3 hours for the 9 courses to come out. We would happily pay more for more food (it was very reasonably priced!) or an option for a bread basket.

The service was also lacking, not sure if they were understaffed the night we went or whether it is usual to wait for 20 minutes before being able to order a drink. There was also no water provided, and when I ordered some, it never came. The explanations were rattled off quickly with no eye contact or smiles, it felt a little like we didn’t exist…

Although the food was good, I can’t really recommend to others a restaurant where I left feeling hungry and thirsty! I would prefer to pay more for more food and...

The food is very good BUT not suitable for vegetarians. We asked before making the reservation if the 7-course menu was also available for vegetarians. Answer: no problem, it can be done. Then when we entered the restaurant we asked again, specifically no meat, no chicken, no fish, no seafood, and the answer again: no problem. Then, after we had ordered and received our drinks, the waiter came and explained to us that as vegetarians we would only get 3 courses instead of 7. We wanted to try the food and agreed, but unfortunately the portions were not adjusted accordingly, so we left the restaurant still hungry after eating. What a shame - honest communication would be desirable, it's not a bad thing if a restaurant isn't vegetarian-friendly, but please...

Had an amazing dinner here at a price that is a huge bargain for the quality presented here. Each course was a taste sensation. I noted that other reviewers found the flavors bland, but I can categorically state the opposite from my visit. The emphasis is on super fresh local ingredients cooked with modern techniques to bring out the very best flavours and textures. Service was highly professional, friendly and each course was described in detail, which I found very helpful. I look forward to returning to Sucre and to this special gastronomic treat. I recommend making reservations in advance.
