The Ibis Copacabana Posto 2 is in a good location. Just 2 streets parallel to the Copacabana. It has lots of restaurants, food stores & tourist stores around it. The Hotel staff was friendly but couldn't speak any other languages besides Portuguese - which makes communication really difficult. The hotel was 10 floors and my room was on the 9th floor. The bed was comfortable. The room itself was big enough. It floors weren't clean. The ventilation in the bathroom was non existend. If you wanted to shower there were tiny flies there as well - not sure if that was because of humidity? The room was really cold and the air-conditioning was hard to control. You had to bring ear plugs to sleep as the air-conditioning made a constant sound. The TV had only Portuguese channels. I booked with breakfast. In my opinion it was a waste of money. In the first day I had a hair in my scrambled eggs and that kind of killed it for me for the rest...

Tried contacting with someone in charge of this hotel for few days through all official channel (phone, email and All Accor loyalty program) regarding late arrival because of airline changed our flight. No one bothered to answer my email and pick up the phone. Even when All Accor loyalty program customer service agents left message for them on behalf of me, they didn't get to me back. Really horrible customer service. Upon arrival the reception desk lady doesn't speak English and had hard time communicating. Rooms are basic and bathroom has only one towel. The breakfast is nothing to say. Only bright spot maybe the location close to beach and subway station. I would not recommend anyone...

I called the reception desk, and the attendant assured me that housekeeping would attend to it. When I returned at 9 PM, I found that housekeeping still had not serviced the room, and we were left without towels. I immediately went to the reception desk, where the attendant apologized but failed to provide a solution other than giving me towels.
