My review is solely based on the service. The lovely manager tried her best to make up for it, but the damage was already done. We’d been seated with the bottle of wine we ordered for about 20 minutes waiting to order. A middle-aged woman walked by us several times. I finally told her we were ready to order. She put her finger in the air to indicate one moment. But she proceeded for the next five minutes to attend to every other table and never came over to us. We had to literally get out of our seats to go ask for a manager (all while using Google Translate) to ask why we were intentionally being ignored. Let me give you the visual: I am a Black woman, and I was with a Black/white masc presenting lesbian and a Black/Mexican lesbian. You draw your own conclusions on if this is why we were treated this way. The manager verbatim said that the server is “very difficult.” Why in the world is she employed then? She said she’d speak to her and offered us a bottle of wine on the house. The only reason we stayed was because our mouths were watering for the pizza at that point. It smelled so good. The pizza was fine, nothing to write home about, and certainly not worth the treatment we received. The manager is the saving grace...
Read moreWe arrived on a Sunday evening around 6.30pm and the restaurant was pretty empty at this time. Staff were very friendly and smiley but had limited English, although it didn’t matter as they had an English menu which was very helpful to us. We ordered the Burratta explosion for starter and shared a pepperoni pizza with an Italian red wine. Both dishes were SO good and the ingredients were so fresh. We visit a lot of pizza restaurants and have high standards but the dough on this one was cooked to perfection. The restaurant became a lot busier later on in the evening so there was then more of an atmosphere. The whole meal was so cheap for what it is! Definitely recommend if you’re staying in the Copacabana area and want a change from the...
A surpresa valeu a pena.
