Upon arrival at the hotel we parked our car at the front, only to be told that there would be a daily charge for parking! Not advised while booking. We then proceeded to check in, looking forward to relaxing in the indoor pool, only to be told that it was closed for refurbishment! Not advised while booking. Upon entering the room which was very sparse and not quite as the photos on the website, we noticed that the fascia surrounding the air conditioning had fallen off and was just hanging and the minibar was totally empty, there wasn't even water or tea or coffee making facilities as you would expect in most hotel rooms. We tried calling reception to no avail, we tried 0 and 9, but neither worked and there was no indication of the reception number on the phone or anywhere in the room. There was no hotel handbook as you see in many good hotels these days. While showering, I couldn't adjust the temperature of the water, whichever way I tried turning the knobs the water had it's own idea of if it wanted to be scorching hot or freezing cold. After finishing my shower (without rinsing off the soap as the water was way to hot). I tried to turn the water off without success, again whichever way I turned the knobs nothing happened. The towels were very poor quality and extremely worn and old. So I had to leave the shower running, and wasn't able to inform reception of the problem as I didn't know the number! The choice of TV channels was extremely poor, with only a handful available and only one (CNN News) in English. After spending a nice relaxing evening with friends (obviously not at the hotel) we returned to the room and prepared for bed, we pulled down the top sheet only to reveal the undersheet didn't even fit the bed and was left short at the bottom. If this place had one saving grace, it was only the breakfast, don't get me wrong it wasn't great, just what you...
Read moreWe spent only a weekend and we booked here basically because we did not find accommodation in other hotel in the area. The hotel is located in the neighborhood Baixa Augusta, which is an area full of young people, parties, etc during the weekends. The hotel has two buildings, so my recommendation would be to choose a quite room, and they will send you to the back building where no noise from the street will interrupt your rest.|Rooms are oldie style, that means they are not modern but I found it comfortable enough for a 3 day stay. Bathroom was big and the shower has a exceptional water pressure, something difficult to fine in SP.||Location is good. Safe to walk at night in the weekends based on the fact that it's crowded. Please stay away from the hotel if you don't like to see people drinking, smoking, etc in the streets. The party in this area is in the street. Consolação metro station is like 1km from the hotel, as well as Avenida Paulista. ||Breakfast is OK but could be better. ||I would not book again in this hotel. It's not bad, but I would...
Read moreI spent 3 nights here with my family. First of all, the hotel is located in one of the noisiest streets in the city. When you arrive in the reception you are met with a bunch of sofas that are so worn out that the wool is screaming to get out. The rooms have air condition, but when we arrived it was not functioning (see added picture and you understand why). There is no free wifi, and it is not enough to pay once; if you want to connect more than 3 devices they charge you extra: 25 reais. For 25 reais per 24 hours I was expecting top notch internet, but also here I was disappointed. I ran a speed test and what you get is 0,53 Mbps which means that trying to watch a youtube video takes so long time that you feel like throwing yourself out of the window, head first. When I wrote the review I got hungry, and called the restaurant for room service. It turns out they only offer room service after 6PM. The only positive thing I can find myself to write is that the rooms are relatively nice, that is if I ignore the dirty walls. The conclusion is therefor,...
