I arrived with my car at the parking lot (which is paid by guests and not cheap - $35 for 24 hours). The valet was rude and unfriendly. At the check-in, they couldn't find my reservation for more than 10 minutes, as I stood with a lot of luggage. They managed to find it and told me the room rented was one for people with special needs/disabilities. Then they proceeded to charge me $31.50 for the difference for a regular room. The room itself is what you can expect of an Ibis Budget hotel - small, but clean and functional. Yet, one of the lights were not working and the shower's light had the same switch as the sink's light, a noticeable waste of electric energy. The breakfast was good in general, but again, they couldn't find my breakfast reservation, yet I had even paid it in advance along with the room's reservation.
It was my second time at the property. First time service was passable, but this time, it was a disaster. As for the amenities itself, I'd say it's okay. But beware of those nasty extra charges, since if I had known it earlier, I would've booked...
Read moreThis was my first, and I believe my last, experience with Ibis Hotels. The small sized rooms did not bother me, I wasn't aware that I would not have a mini-fridge in the room, the blow dryer was on a 2 hour borrowed basis where I had to get it from the reception desk, there were no toiletries, except 2 bars of sample sized soap, no direct communication from room to reception desk or any part of the hotel from the room(no telephone), this hotel, in my opinion, should be labeled as an upscale hostel, only because you do not share your room with strangers. The staff is polite and helpful, the room, otherwise was clean but noisy, specially in the mornings when I could hear "very" loud and clear the adjacent guests using the showers. Speaking of the showers, the cubicle where it is located is so small that if you move your body, you hit the lever that controls the water and may end up having a gush of very hot water onto you, "luckily" the water pressure is far from having "that" amount...
Read moreGreat value for money, a decent hotel - very simple and basic, but ticks all the boxes. Happy to see a 24/7 security guard outside, secure hotel and friendly staff. A special shout-out to the housekeeping team on the first floor, excellent room deep cleaning everyday, and really polite and positive faces every afternoon. Only negative - breakfast was included in my package - and I have to say it was really really bad… and I ended up not eating at all. I will also say the walls are paper thin so if you choose to stay here be prepared to hear lots if you are on a loud floor! Personally, this wasn’t too bad for me - except I could hear the gentleman snoring next...
