The room was very small, but you know this on advance because of the hotel brand, thay are supposed to be small and transit hotels "supposedly" oriented to a value segment in cost, but the beds were uncomfortably and the sheets and blankets were dirty and stained before we used them, so we had to ask for new -and of course clean- ones. For the price. The breakfast was included in our price and it was actually very good, but with the exception of that elderly man who is in charge of controlling the entrance to the breakfast area. He is too disrespectful to the guests, he has an attitude like a bad policeman and is all the time with a fierce face. One of our colleagues had breakfast earlier and wandered around, joining us later as we ate breakfast, and although it was not the intention of our friend to have breakfast twice, but rather to accompany us while we finished, the aforementioned gentleman made a scandal to let him pass, we also did notice that the place was not full and there was plenty of space (a lot of free chairs) no no harm to others potential guests, rather it was already a time when there were few people serving themselves. The next day some visiting doctor friends came to pick us up and take us for a walk to the Ibirapuera park and the same situation occurred: he made a scandal for them to let them pass, with his threatening tone and his fierce look, always aggressive, always disrespectful, it was not the intention either to have themselves breakfast (they are Brazilian and live in sao paulo, they had already had breakfast at home) but to accompany us and then take us for a walk. But the scandal was very uncomfortable and when one of our guys -already a guest at the hotel- told him to calm down, he yelled twice as loud and we couldn't quite understand if what he told us in portuguese was an insult or a threat. Anyway, we will never come back again to this dirty, aggressive and expensive-for-the-service-offered TRYP...
Read moreSo I visited São Paulo for 9 days.
I stayed here my whole stay and can say it was quite good hotel.
Unfortunately the other hotels closer to the main road, Paulista avenue were fully booked and that’s why I chose this one. It was clear and had a good AC with a window facing the street.
I don’t have any complaints, it does feel a bit basic but I appreciate that they have a 24/7 restaurant in the lobby if you’re hungry.
But! Nobody speaks English except a receptionist or two.
I went to the restaurant several times to order but they always said the dishes I chose (appetizers) they couldn’t make that. I asked during the day and the night.
Then I ordered a sandwich and used google translate and I ordered several items but they did not give that to me and the sandwich was all wrong too.
I asked for a lemonade without sugar and I received a lemonade with sugar.
So be careful if you have allergies etc. nobody approached me I sat and waited for 20 minutes they just kept staring at me so I had to walk up there myself.
They were friendly and housekeeping was ok.
I spilled juice on my floor and they didn’t clean it up for several days. My floor was dirty and they never cleaned that either so I had to walk with my flip flops inside not to get sticky juice on my feet.
Sheets were clean.
Room was very small and had no wardrobe. I had to have my bag on the floor.
Takes about 10 minute walk to reach...
Read moreThis was actually one of my worst stays of all times in a Wyndham property. I cannot believe how unprofessional and ill trained the staff is. Actually I thought it would be kind of an incentive to be a Wyndham diamond member ,and seeing any perks, but nothing. By far the very worst Wyndham ptooerty I’ve ever been too. Not even a thanks for your loyalty, no coffee maker in the room, not even a courtesy welcome drink. Unbelievable. They could not care less about you. First of all the neighborhood is not at all clean and nice as they want to portray it, full of jokes in the street and very sad yo see the homeless already in front of the hotel. Then, secondly, the price of $300 a night is a joke for a better IBIS style hotel. Then there is no noise isolation whatsoever, so you think people are actually in your room when they’re coming out of the elevator. I liked those guys that were singing at 1 am drunkenly in the hallway. |The regular room size is around 150 sqft ! 13m2 ! At 300$ ! US ! Fortunately I got the bigger one, maybe 220 sqft, still a joke. |Breakfast was like walking through a Walmart cafeteria, noisy and everything missing from glasses to replenished food. I am shocked how bad it was. Will be back to the Hilton next week. Never again this one. Wow, still shocked what they sell you as a 1500R$ hotel....
