Five Guys — Restaurant in Oshawa

The lady who took our order was extremely rude and doesn’t deserve to work in hospitality or customer service.

My husband and I placed an order for grilled cheese with different veggies. She heard my husband’s order wrong and instead gave us sandwich with meat. It was a takeaway so we didn’t realise until we were back home. We went back to get a replacement right when we realised. My husband asked her howcome we were served meat in a veggie grilled cheese. Instead of resolving this for us, she spoke in a horrible manner and blamed it on us to place the wrong order. She also refused to refund or replace our sandwich. She didn’t even apologise for her behaviour.

In so many years, we have never had such a bad experience at Five Guys or in any other food space. Even if there was any miscommunication from anyone’s side, the right thing to do is help out the customer. Never again, am I stepping into this outlet again.

Please hire people who are nice and have humanity. Please train your staff to be kind and look for solutions rather than blame the customer for making a purchase. Customer service is about assisting customers and you won’t have a business if you are not good at it.

I have always loved 5 Guys! Quick service, the burgers taste so good, fries are delish. The unlimited peanuts, I mean......come on.

We stopped into 5 Guys on route to Toronto. We had to chow in the vehicle, which was not ideal. It was VERY messy. My bun was soggy and fell apart in my lap (I do like a few toppings so....) Thank Gawd I was covered in several napkins because I would have needed a full shower afterward, should I have forgotten them.

The burger was good, but it was hard to really assess because it was a bit of a mess in my lap. They did give lots of fries, so that was yum.

Soooo I haven't been here in a few years, but I can see that prices have gone up (like everything else out there lol). If you were to get a burg + fries + drink, it would cost you approx $25.

AND get this. I went down a dark rabbit hole on the web and ascertained that the 5 guys burg is THE MOST UNHEALTHY CHEESEBURGER re: American fast food chains (because of the sugar, salt, fat). And the fries have a terrible score too! I was bummed by that news (see pic). I guess 5 Guys falls into the eat-once-every-two-or- three-years category (ie KFC). Never...

This was my first time ever having five guys. I got a bacon cheese burger medium fries and a large drink the cost was ridiculous $19.63 I was like WOW the food better be worth it. I dined in the place was really packed but the tables that were open were dirty the floor looking like it was not swept the while day. I finally got my food afterm 15 mins of waiting the fries were not crunchy like I was expecting I could tell that the fryer oil they cook in was dirty because I do have experience in the fast food industry at a place called BIG BOYS. For fresh cut fries they were absolutely terrible. Now let's get to the burger all I got on my burger was mushrooms fried onions jalapeño peppers and a lititle mayo my first bite os this is burger was absolutely disgusting a mouth full of grease and really really soggy bun I don't even think they tried to toast the bun but it was bad. I will not tell anyone about this dump what a waste of 20 buck for 1 person the owner should be ashamed of this place because the food could have potential if the staff actually knew what...
