Café Van Houtte — Restaurant in Ottawa

What at first seems like a nice location Is unfortunately Marr down by the quality of service by the two female employees Who served me this evening, August 13/25. Asked about two different drinks that were blended shakes. I indicated to a picture of the what I liked and she unfortunately made a different one of a different name. Please note I’ve never been to this Location or have tried to drink products before so I’m brand new to our menu. As it was about 25 minutes before closing time, the two employees seemed very rushed, uninterested in quality service, and more interested in chatting with customers of their age about their outfits and how pretty they were! Apparently customers who wanted to know about the menu were not of interest to them therefore, I was given the wrong drink, and when I realized that I got attitude and arrogance. I also wanted to sit outside and was told I’d have to bring the cushions out myself. Interesting that kind of customer service is accepted in the Ottawa area. Surprising. I didn’t ask one of the employees how I could share some feedback with the owner – this is what she said, and I quote, “ Ihave no way of getting you in contact with the owner so you can just go on Google and review it.” Wow - Talk about not caring about your employer and throwing them under the bus! I’ve yet to try to drink, but It wouldn’t matter to me if it was the best shake I ever ever had in my life. I would never come back because of the poor quality customer service. Take your money elsewhere. Everyone, it’s not worth being treated that way. I forgot to mention that I got charged three dollars extra for the drink that I originally wanted, and it was served with a big dose of attitude and no politeness whatsoever! My lowest recommendation is this establishment and it’s all because of the employees that I encountered. UPDATE: one the employees Just came outside and wanted the cushions back as they were closed. Again, in a rude manner, and what appeared to be annoyed. Highest recommendation to the owner of this establishment fire those girls and get proper employees who actually care about...

I had the most amazing service today! I ordered my usual iced matcha latte, and it was perfect. The barista made it with just the right balance, and when I mentioned how much I enjoyed it, she offered me a few tips on how to make it even better at home. She explained that they use hot water to dissolve the matcha powder properly, ensuring a smooth and delightful drink every time.

When I thanked her, she smiled and said she’s been perfecting her skills over the past six years. It really shows! The staff here are not only skilled but also incredibly friendly and professional.

Before I left, I made sure to let another manager who told me her name was Randa know how pleased I was with the service. I even mentioned that I would be leaving a positive review on Google because of my wonderful experience. The atmosphere at this café is always welcoming, and it’s clear that the owner knows how to train their staff to provide top-notch service.

I hope this place continues to thrive, and I’m excited to see more coffee shops like this one open in Tanger. They’ve set a high standard for quality and...

I just had the worst service here. I ordered my usual iced matcha latte, but they made it with powder at the bottom this time. When I mentioned it, the lady told me to stir it myself and said they use hot water. I explained I'd end up with a mouthful of powder when I drink it, and her response was like, 'What do you want me to do?' I was totally shocked by that kind of service. When I called her out in front of another employee, she acted all innocent and denied ever saying that. Not only bad barista, also a liar. I hope there’ll be more coffee places opened in tanger and it’ll be more competitive. So the owner knows how to train their staffs properly.

Before I left, I went up to the younger staff and told her I was going to leave a Google review because of my bad experience. I asked her to let the manager know it was the lady next to her.
