The reason for the low rating is their policy. We had breakfast here on the first day of our stay. The second day we wanted to have a more local experience found to a local cafe outside. My 11 year old insisted that she wants to have breakfast at the hotel since her was anyway free. I got her down they let her in and I was asked to join her as she is a child but I told them tht I will not be having breakfast. Then after sometime, the head server comes to our table and insists tht I will be charged for the child as I am not eating. He then said it would be half rate. I explained to him tht we were told by the reception tht it’s free for the child under 12 even if the adult is not eating. He arrogantly asked who said tht and I told him again that we were told by the reception. Then he turns to my daughter and asks her how old is she. He then turned to me and said today I will let her eat for free but don’t come back here tomorrow.

I want to explain to the management that if I can afford to travel here from Dubai and stay here at the hotel. I can very much afford to pay too. We are not homeless ppl tht he would say like that to us that don’t come back here tomorrow and tht she can eat here only today.

My daughter was so down after this incident tht she did not eat properly and she said she will take one croissant out but the same server happen to be around and he arrogantly told her tht she can’t take it out. Although we did see others taking out food.

Very dissatisfied with...

Disappointing establishment within Hilton Quebec. Let’s start with pros. Great atmosphere and beautifully decorated. Most of the dishes we had were great. Not the best but we did not have any expectation of amazing culinary experiences as the place has small selection of dishes. Good enough for a nice meal after a long travel day and reasonable pricing (our view). How bad can it be if it’s part of Hilton chain. The CONs and where do I even start. Our servicer was clearly overwhelmed and need help. Multiple large parties to serve and more diners coming in. She was great in talking to us when we get seated. After that everything went down hill. One hour after seating, our dishes were served. No bread, no refill of water, no hi sorry for the long wait….SILENCE!!! A few tables came way after us were served with their orders, drinks and bread by another servicer but not us. NO one came to check on us. We sit there for an hour watching people around us being served and we got nothing. I would love to be rude and not tip at all but I was taught better than that. This experience is so personally insulting that we felt, for the first time in our lives, that we were discriminated upon. Seriously how can one feel when the servicer gave every table around you bread and butter and refill of water but skipped over your table multiple times!!! We have traveled the world with 60+ countries under our belt and never once did we feel so horrible at dinner....

7/2/22 Restaurant was closed for dinner. Went to the bar area and no one came over except for the bus boy to bring water. Waited 20 minutes and left. Update 7/4/22 we decided to try it for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Initially we were concerned as we were not acknowledged while we were standing in front of the host, but he might have been training someone. We got seated at a nice table for two. The waiter came over and brought coffee. The food was VG and all of the staff were working hard. I interacted with the person at the buffet and he was very nice, the waiter kept coming by making sure we are all set and the other staff engaging with the customers was great. I say this encounter was a five star so I averaged the two experiences out and came up with...

For a regular buffet is is great but for a high end hotel, ie Hilton, one should expect better selection. The coffee is only drip, no expresso. Orange juice and fruit juice are all commercial. The knife to cut the bread is past its useful life, it doesn't cut anymore. I know it's a detail but it's almost unrespectful for costumer to have to use a bread cutting knife that you might find at value village... the server was the highlight of the experience here. All in all it's OK, bacon was ultra thin, and cold, French toast do not represent what a real French toast is in Quebec. Was there maple syrup? I didn't see any

Our waiter Benoit was very accommodating and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The chicken pompadour deserves at least a 4.5. Chicken breast was tender and moist, and past was aldente. A touch of truffle oil or shaved truffle would give it a solid 5. PEI oysters were fresh and delicious. Caesar salad was good. Would have liked the fried Parmesan ? cheese to be crispy . The atmosphere could be greatly improved to match the quality of the food. No Pompadour pics. Dug in right away. The Portuguese wine was a nice addition.

Not my favourite. I personally find it's a bit expensive for what it was. The pasta had no taste. The crème brûle was very unique, it tasted a bit like lemon and it was different from a normal crème brûle. The waiter was very nice but in the end we had to wait a bit for him to return to take our dessert order and even to pay the bill. Conviently located in the Hilton hotel if you are staying there, nice you don't have to leave the hotel if you don't want to.
