My friend and I..We are not that young we are seniors wanted to drop off some donation today Monday..nothing big just some nice odds and ends some antique pieces..I just dont have the room in my apartment storage..as soon as we came in the store some guy ..yelled out..WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING DONATIONS TODAY!!..SO YOU GOT TO COME BACK TOMORROW...just wow.!! .its already in the store..so we had to drag it out again put it back in the car..we where very embarrassed..like come on somebody wants to donate and we are the ones inconveniecing you..long story short we brought 3 loads of stuff to Value Village..big difference in welcoming us with a nice young guy...

Tried again to purchase items only to find they are priced at retail. I went as far as to show 2 staff members a quick google search to prove the fact after they tried to defend their pricing only to be smerked at by a male employee with a take it or leave it attitude. I donated thousands in material and my labour on one of the first builds as well as truck loads of items over the last 25 years and really enjoyed going through the store looking for lost treasures but I’m afraid this place has lost touch with reality lately. My son and I recently moved to Sault Ste Marie, Canada as students and we purchased a few pieces of furniture from Habitat for Humanity Restore. Steve and Kevin were our delivery guys and they were beyond AWESOME! Although the pieces were heavy, they understood that we had no furniture and Christmas was approaching; they traversed back and forth until all the pieces were in our apartment.
