Our first time in Sun Peaks and we loved this hotel! They currently have a great cheap deal with BC residents this summer (I think it was $85/night) which was awesome. Due to covid, they did not have maid service daily but we did not mind - we could simply request new towels/linens if needed. There was someone working the front desk from around 11-7, but there was no staff in the other hours. This wasn’t a problem for us, but you do need to ensure you have your key card to get inside as the outside doors lock as a certain time (they make this clear when checking in.) They have underground parking available it is very limited so I would definitely recommend requesting a spot ahead of time, and nothing bigger than an SUV. Rooms were spotless, you could keep screens on the windows or open up the screens a bit which we loved. Bathroom amenities (shampoo, etc) all seemed high quality and smelled so nice which hotel shampoos usually don’t. Super comfortable beds and great pillows which I’m usually really picky about. No air conditioning, but they give you a fan which was perfect with the windows cracked open a bit over night. We stayed early August and weren’t too hot.

The BED was so comfortable !!!! The view of the hill was a treat! We got the king room and it was really spacious with a full, I'm talking as if we had rented a cabin, FULL kitchen. There were a few miscommunications with the front desk that was a little inconvenient but not a deal breaker by any means. The fact that it's connected to most of the cafe's (our favorite being Bolacco) and some restaurants was so so nice. During Coivd we were able to reserve a 20 min spa in the outdoor hot tub. Better than nothing!

Outstanding location with amazing views, wish I planned to stay longer then one night. There is only thing I would recommend, never ever follow your GPS and leave going left out of the parking garage. The street turns into a dirty logging road a little ways up and it will be down hill from there. If you hit a dirty road for the love of god TURN AROUND!!!!!

STAY AWAY I am a single female travelling alone for a wedding. Upon my arrival I discovered the hotel room was not what I expected. It looks very old and with a bad smell. I have asthma and this triggered my cough. I came here for a wedding and I discovered there was a mistake when booking the hotel. I also discovered that at the sun peaks grand lodge and conference centre without being part of a party right now they are giving a room for $115 plus tax per night and they have it a bogo night promotion. With full amenities, swimming pool and AC included. When I spoke to the manager in charge and ask if they could match my rate she flat said no and with an attitude. When I asked how come I was paying double for this hotel the front staff replied “I don’t know I don’t make the rates” All and all I am very disappointed to know I was not helped and I was not heard. The hotel has no amenities and the staff is very unwelcomed they even suggested me to go swim at the sun peaks grand and enjoy the amenities there without staying there. I am Paying $380 for the room and $42 for parking. They told me their cancellation policy applies and didn’t even match the rate for the grand lodge. They could have called them and ask what I was saying about just walk-in rate $115 at night. They also told me they didn’t believe me because The grand lodge is much more expensive as If I was lying. I came specially for this once in a lifetime moment with my friend which I explained to them I travelled 8 hrs by myself and I am alone here at the room paying much higher than a random tourist let alone the party goers for not what I expected. The room has no AC and no swimming pool nor a connecting path to my party. I have written to the general manager asking to please help me and either refund me the money I paid so I go to a newer hotel or give me the rate of the grand lodge. Now I understand their cancellation policy it’s a grab for you to over pay for a low quality place...

PLEASE NO ONE STAY HERE!!!! 0 STARS!!!

This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. The staff was arrogant and rude, the whole place was run down, and the owners were the worst people I have ever met in my life. We stayed one night but they charged us for two, refused to refund the one night, and when we complained or wrote a review on their facebook page they deleted it and blocked me. Really professional. They will screw you and charge you for extra nights, and then laugh in your face when you ask for your money back. They even made us wait around for a half hour waiting for a manager, who was the rudest of all, and told us she has been running that dumb for 21 years and she is totally fine with letting people leave upset, angry, and feeling cheated. Way to go. That is no way to run your business and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. I guess you needed the money more than we did. CLEARLY. Maybe you can screw your other guests too and afford to run your hot tub all year long. PLEASE NO ONE STAY HERE!!

the comment they added is laughable. False information? No, nothing I put in my review was false. I booked ONE NIGHT through expedia, and then called the hotel to stay another night. You could have refunded the one night or offered a gift card or anything other than what you did. YOU WASTED OUR TIME WITH YOUR ARROGANCE MAKING US WAIT FOR A MANAGER JUST SO SHE COULD LAUGH IN OUR FACES.

I will be continuing to write reviews, and letting people know how you treat your guests. My friends are going to be writing reviews as well.

Good luck with the upcoming ski season. Hope the $129 was...

We come to Sun Peaks every year for a long time and stay at Nancy Greene's Cahilty. Only had pleasant experience and great memories. Last winter we missed booking time and Nancy’s was completely booked by the end of September. We decided to give Sun Peaks Lodge a try and booked second week of December with no trouble. When we arrived the average temperature was about 22F. We were given the room that had a bad seal at the balcony door and freezing air was drafting in right on the bed. We immediately asked to change a room but were told that nothing (!!!) is available. Since unit was uninhabitable, the manager said she will send a handyman to repair the seal. The guy showed up promptly and nailed an ugly old blanket over the balcony door. That helped cold air draft somewhat, but permanently closed the balcony for our use and made a room very dark. We tried to talk to manager again but she met any proposals with resounding “NO”. We end up staying for the rest of the week since it was prepaid and we simply had no choice. Every time we were bumping into the manager, she would turn away and avoid eye contact. I would never go back to this place or recommend it to anybody. Stayed...
