Mountain High Pizza — Restaurant in Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality

My experience here was disappointing. We were told to wait 15 minutes for our pizza so we waited until 20 just to give them extra time, only to find out they haven't even started our pizzas yet, and it wasn't like they busy, the restaurant was empty. The wait time for our pizzas was atleast 20 more minutes so I just waited in the restaurant, I watched what they were doing because it was really the only thing to do for 20 minutes, there was one girl who just stared blankly at the raw pizza for atleast 5 minutes, there was another girl working with her who was filling up buckets with the supplies for the pizza, but as she was filling the buckets she started eating things from the filled buckets, like fondling the cheese and eating handfulls. Another girl pops out of nowhere and just kinda stands in the corner not doing anything, so one of them finally puts the pizza in the oven, and they start making more pizzas, its all going smooth until I see one of the girls eating cheese from the pizza she was making, like picking it off. A few minutes later a girl walks in with a boy I'm assuming was her boyfriend, and all the girls in the pizza place starting gossiping and yelling about people and how annoying they where and dropping several f-bombs and b-bombs, which was very annoying. After another 20 minutes I finally get my pizza...only for it to be ice cold and stale😐 In conclusion this was one of the worst experiences I have ever gone...

As a side note to the below the pizza is wonderful… but make sure you confirm it is right as they get very angry if they make a mistake.

Great pizza…. Terrible…. Is it the owner that got mad at me? We ordered pizza and came to pick it up.

We ordered a spin cycle and were given a spillway.

We didn’t notice until we got home am put the pizzas down for everyone to eat. On of the kids did grab a piece of the wrong pizza…. Called back told them about it and the piece… they were wonderful.

Until I got to the restaurant. I was called out loudly by the guy cutting the pizza who I assume is the owner that that is what I ordered. He was quite visibly upset so I don’t know if this happens a lot?

He was quite angry about the piece until the gentleman who was on the phone came to defend me… then he got yelled at.

The owner got super mad and told me to pay $2 for the “extra topping”

I told them I tipped way more than that…. So the owner upset and just made the pizza.

I feel bad for the guy making the pizza and honestly the rest of the staff seemed amazing.

I didn’t ask to have to come back and leave everyone eating the correct pizzas….

And no apology from this guy…. He treated me like I was stealing….

But the pizza looks amazing…. Just goodness get the customer...

We come up to Sun Peaks a couple times a year; and every time we get Mountain High Pizza, but I don’t know what happened this time. :( We got 2, 10” pizzas, one for $19.95, one for $19.00. That’s not cheap for pizza, especially considering the quality we experienced this time. We ordered online and went to pickup at the “estimated pickup time”. We got there, provided our order number, they said they hadn’t started making it. Whatever, we sat and waited. There were 2 guys working and three in the back on phones, hanging out. It was a big biking weekend so no worries, if I could hangout with friends while working, why the heck not. After about 10 minutes they realized that they had already actually made the pizzas. We’d already tipped since I ordered online, but I might’ve just done the 12%. We got back to the hotel and there was almost no sauce on the one pizza. The other one has sauce, the more expensive one did not. Last time I got it, it had sauce so I was a bit confused. And the service in the shop was about 5/10. Maybe they were pooped from a long day, but it was just such a different experience than what we usually have, especially after spending $48 for...
