I've had the immense pleasure of staying at the Delta Airport Hotel in Toronto not just once, but on multiple occasions, and let me tell you, it's not a choice I make lightly. This remarkable hotel has consistently left me utterly impressed, and it's beyond doubt the finest choice when it comes to accommodations in Toronto. From the moment you step into the hotel, you're greeted by a bright and welcoming ambiance that sets the tone for an exceptional stay. The Delta Airport Hotel offers not one, but two fantastic restaurants to tantalize your taste buds. And for those who need their daily caffeine fix, there's a full-service Starbucks right at your fingertips. Additionally, a fully stocked convenience store ensures that all your needs are met effortlessly. The hotel's main floor is akin to a resort, boasting ample seating areas where you can relax and unwind. But what truly sets this establishment apart is its versatility. It's not just a hotel; it's a full-service venue that frequently plays host to various events and conventions. Though I haven't personally organized or attended any, I've had the privilege of staying while events were underway, and it's clear that the Delta Airport Hotel knows how to handle them with finesse. For those in need of meeting spaces, this hotel has got you covered with multiple spacious boardrooms. I've personally used them during some stays, particularly when traveling with the Jy Greyhounds hockey team, which I manage. The hotel staff, I must say, has been nothing short of exceptional during these visits. Their courtesy and unwavering accommodation have consistently exceeded my expectations. Whether it's a smooth check-in process, a request for something in your room, assistance with parking, or any other need, they have always been absolutely incredible. Now, let's talk about the delightful olfactory experience at this hotel. The aroma that greets you upon entry is nothing short of enchanting, consistently fresh and inviting. It's a testament to the hotel's commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for its guests. The attention to detail in upkeeping the property both inside and out is simply commendable. As for the rooms, they are nothing short of great. The beds are luxuriously comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep every time. In all my stays at the Delta Airport Hotel, I have never encountered a single issue. The level of consistency and excellence they maintain is truly remarkable. In sum, if you're seeking a hotel experience that is unparalleled in its quality, service, and overall ambiance, the Delta Airport Hotel in Toronto is an absolute no-brainer. My numerous stays here have solidified my belief that it is, without a doubt, the best choice. Each visit leaves me with a sense of awe and gratitude for the outstanding experience they consistently deliver. I simply love it, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a "wow" factor in their hotel stay.

The hotel is located directly across from the Convention Center and just minutes away from the Toronto Airport. Shuttle & Parking - The hotel does offer airport shuttle service (call to confirm hours) and some limited service to nearby places (car rental, other hotels, etc.). They do have onsite parking for $20-$25 per night (May vary depending on Bonvoy Status). The lot is in the rear (you can access the hotel from a rear entrance) and is gated. We took a star off of Service for the Shuttle Driver. Our first driver, almost seemed like he demanded a tip. During our ride back to the airport another shuttle driver never even left his seat to unload passengers. Check in - Was very smooth. Our flight arrived very early, so with our Bonvoy status, we were able to check in early and hit the ground touring. Because there were many large parties attending conventions, we did not get a room upgrade. But we were okay with just checking in early and dropping our bags. Rooms - We reserved the 2 queen bed room, but was hoping for an upgrade to the 2 queen bed suite. Having a daughter that is currently flying planes, the room was perfect as it overlooked the runway. The room was basic, 2 beds, desk, refrigerator, closet, bathroom. We took one star off because the bathroom had no ventilation. After showering, the bathrooms would stay steamy, thus making the floors slippery. I e had to leave the bathroom door open. Unless you request, not all rooms have a microwave. We were fortunate enough to have a great Housekeeper (Gita), that kept our room clean and new and fresh towels daily. Amenities- The hotel has a few restaurants. Orchid Cafe for breakfast, offers a buffet and a la carte menu. See attached Menu. Our waiter Kazi was awesome and engaging. The Ginko Japanese restaurant offer Japanese cuisine- Menu attached. Lot 41 is their Bar/restaurant that offers quick food - Menu attached. Beware, as one night we were told the menu was limited. And, we noticed a difference in options when ordering room service and going to the restaurant. The do have a pool, exercise facility, onsite car rental, Starbucks in the lobby, Gift Shop/store, ATMs, baggage hold area, and Currency Exchange (As with most places they have their fees….. Banks give the best rates). Getting around. I highly encourage anyone coming into to town to rent a car. On our first day we tried the Uber thing and with traffic, we paid more in one day of Uber, then for a 3 day car rental. May have been peak season or the holiday, but getting into/out of the city was crazy. With the car, it allowed us to see more, Niagara Falls, CN Tower, Waterfront, etc. ****Please note that this hotel is in the line of arriving planes. You will hear planes ✈️ flying in, so much so that our room even had ear plugs.

After just 5 minutes in our room, we were greeted by a fly infestation. They were everywhere — all over the room and even inside the fridge. Absolutely disgusting! We immediately informed the front desk, and while they moved us to a “bigger” room, it was hardly an improvement. The air conditioning was an outdated, built-in system that made an unbearable rattling noise all night long. You had to bang on the unit to stop the noise, but even then, it would only quiet down for a second before starting up again. My kids couldn’t sleep, and neither could we. The odour in both rooms was awful, smelling like old carpet that hadn’t been cleaned in ages. You could tell this hotel desperately needs a deep carpet cleaning throughout. It added to the overall unpleasantness of the stay. On top of that, the furniture was filthy, including the pull-out bed. We had to ask for extra sheets just to cover the stains. Despite calling 3-4 times to get maintenance to fix the air conditioning, no one came — even by 2am! Completely unacceptable. The bathroom in the “bigger” room (suite) was unbelievably cramped. The door practically touched the toilet seat when you opened it, and the only way to close the door was to stand in the shower and push the door shut from the inside. That’s how tight the space was — a complete joke for a supposed upgrade. The hotel has low ceilings and looks nothing like the pictures online. Don’t be fooled by the false advertising. It’s also incredibly noisy. Even with the earplugs they provide, the constant sound of planes flying overhead every 5-10 minutes made it impossible for a light sleeper like me to get any rest. Though the manager tried to compensate us with 10,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, the inconvenience of having to relocate my family of five to another hotel on such short notice was beyond frustrating. We ended up paying double at another hotel due to last-minute weekend rates. We checked out the next morning, and I strongly do not recommend this hotel. The experience was a nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere.

My experience could have been AMAZING. But the Food and Beverage Manager named June there should be FIRED!! I got very sick (likely food poisoning) from a meal I had on Saturday July 20th, 2024 at Lot 41, one of their two in-house restaurants!! And NOBODY CARED!!!! Including HIM!!! The 2 restaurant servers were HORRIFIC in my opinion!! They were walking right by me as if I was invisible! Neither asked if my meal was okay or if I needed anything!! The very tall, black, young male server was more concerned with polishing the cutlery than providing any SERVICE to one of the GUESTS, meaning ME!!! He didn't even know who his Manager was, since I had ALREADY asked who it was and wanted to talk to one!!! The female server kept her back to me the ENTIRE meal, except to walk by me multiple times with her table cleaning spray in hand! Again never asking if I needed anything! That is horrible customer service, ESPECIALLY for a restaurant!!

I ordered at the bar, and since I am female and short, it was too uncomfortable to eat my $37 steak dinner at the bar, so I decided to seat MYSELF at a different table. I had to keep getting up and going BACK to the BAR to get stuff I needed to enjoy my meal! The restaurant was almost EMPTY making this experience all the worse!!!!

I got bad stomach cramps in the middle of the night that night from what I believe was the salad dressing that had been put on the cesaer salad I ordered and was expected to pay EXTRA FOR that the bartender/server said had come from the bar frig and had not been made FRESHLY before being served to me! If it was "pre-prepared" WITH the dressing ALREADY on it, and was left in a bar frig for who knows HOW many days, then served to me by someone who might not have EVEN HAD safe food handling training?? Then I get sick from it with severe cramps and diarrhea within a few hours of eating it???? Thank GOD I didnt eat it ALL and sent about 3/4 of it back, because it was runny, had a weird taste to it after it was served to me by their bartender, and I got extreme signs of food poisoning the very next morning!!

I tried to speak to the Food and Beverage Manager named June (a youngish Asian gentleman) about this experience the very next morning, but he was too busy on a phone call I overheard, which was of MINIMAL importance, (becauase I overheard it all) as I waited at the in-house Starbucks where he was working within the hotel, then he literally DISMISSED me and walked AWAY, saying he was TOO BUSY to talk to me!!!!

Are you kidding me???? I hope your restaurant gets closed down!! Because this was SO unsafe!! It SHOULD be closed down and inspected immediately for food safety concerns!!! Food safety in a restaurant is of PARAMOUNT importance! You don't just IGNORE a patron who has gotten sick from the food they were served!!! Perhaps IF this happens at a time the restaurant could be at FULL capacity because they are fully booked at the hotel, with an entire cricket tournament of teams staying there July 21 and 22nd, THEN they might pay more attention to the CRITICAL details for safety in the future!!!! Instead I paid $43.90 for a horrible experience, left still feeling hungry, got SICK, AND missed going to the movies that night for 11:30pm because the service was SO SLOW that I couldn't even GET to the theater on time! it was completely ridiculous!!

This was a HORRIBLE restaurant experience that would make me question ever staying at this otherwise beautiful hotel again -- because it wasn't properly dealt with before I had to check out and change hotels since they were overbooked for the next two nights I originally planned to stay there. So I had to switch hotels again....

The General Manager REALLY needs to keep a closer eye on ALL his staff, because the managers UNDER him CLEARLY aren't doing their jobs properly...

I went during the recent snow storm as a lil staycation. I had some events there at their conference room areas and was always intrigued by the hotel itself so I decided to stay. I should have kept looking to be honest. The issues I had were dealing with their staff in namely a lady by their hotel breakfast. She treated me and my kids like we broke in off the street. A sign asked please wait to be seated and for some 4-5 mins we weren't attended to or even remotely looked at to be seen shortly. So we decided to just walk in as it was barely even a dozen people in the dining room. That could sit 50 or more. We got our breakfast and that's when the aforementioned lady started off upset (I ain't a had coffee yet so I already wasn't in the mood). I wasn't rude. She asked me where I came from to which I said upstairs then said did I pay for breakfast and I said yes for for the 2 nights I'm staying and she left for a second where to idk. I wasn't concerned. Then she came back asking me a bunch of questions (which is her right but it's never the acts it's either the tone or the principle) all of which I answered and she asked for a proof of purchase card or something like that which I displayed. She yanked it from me and said if I need to show her this card she needed to hold on to it and she wouldn't let go. She claimed she had to verify it.... Then came back and was trying to say I only paid for one day which ABSOLUTELY wasn't the case. The front desk attendant evidently only wrote down it was for the 17th of Feb vs the whole stay. I'm gonna assume that was a air gap on her part vs a deliberate mistake. Regardless my kids and I didn't feel all that welcomed. Had it not been for the snow i definitely wouldn't have even gone back for the day that was written as a result of that (and the food just wasn't worth the effort of eating much less preparing. The kinda food you'd get at Best Western yet somehow with less effort), anyway. The room was fine, small but comfortable. They have free waters which they don't tell you but it is. The bathrooms could use an extra hook or two. There was some under the sink staining that could be a bit of a health risk. If you have an Amazon stick it sadly won't work, I prefer it over the provided TV services.

The pool was fun. It's heated but please don't expect it to feel more than room temperature in the larger area. Lots of deck space. Could be fun to use in the summer.

Having to spend what I paid and still have to pay for parking is criminal in my opinion but everyone has to make money. The snow was never ending so I would hold any lack of snow clearing against them... But it could have been a touch better.

Summary ( for what I paid and what I got, I could and should have gone elsewhere. I wouldn't go back. It's a fine hotel but there's a reason it's near the airport and not in the city city. Due to the weather i couldn't say it was noisy but it's a shotput throw to the airport so don't expect it to be quiet unless there's terrible weather outside. If I did need something the staff was knowledgeable enough to...
