Currently staying at the hotel and not too impressed overall. I’ve had to move rooms three times in one night. My first room I walked into wasn’t clean at all and had what seemed to be urine on the bathroom floor and hair all over the place, and the sheets were stained with what seemed to be lotion or oil of some kind (don’t want to even think about that). The second room I was in wasn’t the room type that I booked, so then I had to relocate again, and the third room I’m currently in was clean; however, when housekeeping came to clean our room, there is now hair all over the bed sheets when I opened the blanket to go to bed - gross. The rooms window is broken so will not close completely. Our bathroom sink also doesn’t drain normally, it takes a long time. Overall, I am not impressed and will be contacting cooperate to forward my concerns. When I booked this hotel, I was told that renovations were done, yet there is construction outside of the property. Location is…. far, but like most airport hotels, there aren’t many cafes or restaurants around. This one does have a Boston Pizza and a few others beside it. Prices are well within affordability. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are recently updated. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. I almost forgot… management was supposed to contact me during my stay but they haven’t.

Overall was a good experience. Room was clean and available upon check-in. Was nice to see a non carpet floor as they are usually not very clean. This proved to be not good from a noise standpoint. Anything from the rooms around was heard and echoed more. Was surprised at the difference. Had a late lunch in lobby restaurant. It is definitely on the expensive side. Service was not great. The other guest at the bar and myself were not really attended too. When an obviously regular guest showed up EVERYONE was there talking to him while everyone else was not really relevant. Food was good overall. Small notes on items. Had the seafood risotto with spinach. The spinach was a decorative accent not really part of the meal. Deserts were not great. First was the so called Apple Gallet. Had 8 small slices of apple on hard pastry. The Creme Brule was lemon with seasonal fruit. No real lemon taste and a decorative strawberry is not fruit. Front desk agents were great. Had a couple special needs that were handled quick and easily.

Avoid this place like the plague! Never had worse service at a hotel in my life.

Should have been my clue to cancel the reservation when we called to see if it was possible to get an early check in. I understand if the hotel was sold out and it’s not possible. However…. To have the answer be “No. we’re sold out and Check in is at 3.” Then be hung up on!!! Should have cancelled right there.

We come back at 5:30 after spending time out. We check in and get up to our room…. It’s dirty. Dusty, crumbs on the floor, hair n the floor, shower floor dirty. We complained and they moved us to a bigger room. No real apology, just excuses and offer of a bigger room.

We take the upgrade and move to that room. It’s worse. Stains on the couch, more crumbs on the floor, dust on every surface, and even old coffee grounds in the machine. We call down… no answer. Call again, no answer. Call again, no flipping answer!!

At this point we’re calling around to get a different hotel. But Air Canada flight attendants went on strike today and every hotel within a 30 minute drive of the airport is booked up due to cancelled flights.

Finally get ahold of the front desk. Still no apology! Offer us a bigger room. Just for the record… I don’t care about a bigger room, I just wanted clean. They made us wait and wait while they cleaned a new room. They said the manager was coming to talk to us… he never came to our room, never actually came to talk to us.

Catch him in the hall on the way to check our new room. Still no apology!!! Offers to help us move our stuff. First offer of anything helpful, but too little too late.

All this time our 4 year old is starving and it’s almost 8:00pm!!

No offer to compensate. No offer of food to get our kid fed. Absolutely nothing!!! I’m am beyond livid. Never experienced worse service at a hotel before ever!! Will never return and will tell everyone I know to stay away.

Also.., says it’s newly renovated. It’s laughable. So poorly done that it’s awful, wallpaper peeling off the walls, baseboards sticking out from the walks, flooring doesn’t go all the way to the baseboards, stains on the “new” flooring, grout on the base of the toilet (they didn’t even Lift the toilets off the floor to replace the tile! Just tiles around it. The metal edge between the time and carpet had an exposed sharp edge. They painted over the strike plates on the doors!! Pure laziness!! It was obviously done as cheaply as possible, it looks terrible.

And the food. Not great. Definitely not worth the money. Had the clubhouse sandwich, really hard to screw that up. But they managed. Not shocked. It said garlic mayo. Said nothing about chipotle, or spice of any kind. Bit into it and it was so spicy my lips were on fire!! How do you screw up a clubhouse sandwich?

My wife asked for plain white rice and got rice that was seasoned with curry. The exact opposite of what she needs with an upset stomach.

The whole experience has been a disaster and we’re done. Booked it for 2 nights…. We’re checking out in the morning and finding a different hotel.

TERRIBLE HOTEL!!!

Update…. Got a room at the Embassy Suites down the street. Beautiful. And CLEAN! Friendly staff, comfy beds, rooms are great. Much better choice. Stay...

Our Stay at the Crowne Plaza was a wild ride. We landed at Pearson Airport around midnight and were told to go wait by Piller 42 at departures. By the time we got there, it was 2 am. I was travelling with two kids so called right away to find out when the bus would be coming. After not getting an answer a few times I hit the number for bookings. Finally, I reached someone who told us the shuttle comes every 20 minutes so just wait by the piller for it. After an hour I called to see if I could get more information but again nothing. I decided to go to Books again where there was a very rude lady, she told me the bus would be there so just waited but she transferred me to the front to ask when the shuttle person would be there. So after getting transferred there was no answer again. That was the last time I was able to talk to anyone. From there a taxi driver asked if I needed a ride and he would take me for $20. After another 20 minutes of waiting, I finally accepted as I needed to get the kids to bed. Once in the Car, he told me it would be $30 and the hotel would pay for my fair since their bus never showed up. This I didn't expect them to do but had no other option but to pay him.

The guy at the front was kind but unable to help. He got us checked in, we went right up to bed. The best part of this whole experience was that there had to be that these beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

HOWEVER, this was the only thing! From there I was letting the kids sleep as long as possible until the power went out in the whole hotel. I am pretty sure they were aware was going to happen but no one told us. I decided to get the kids up and leave but while we were looking out the window I looked at my kid's feet and there was blood on the floor. Not a tone but blood droplets nonetheless. So we got our stuff, and left! The guy at the front was nice enough to give us a bag with some water, chips and some granola bars while we waiting for the shuttle. I have always had the best of luck with these Hotels so sad that I will think twice before doing it again and when we came back to Toronto for two nights to go home we stayed at a...

Stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament with a very large group booking, our team and other teams gave this hotel a lot of business. This hotel claims to be pet friendly so a few days before arriving, I called to confirm if my small dog would be allowed to stay, they confirmed yes and that they have designated pet floors. We arrived, checked in with our dog, completed their pet form went to our room. Our room was incredibly small (room w 2 double beds) so I asked to upgrade and pay the difference the following day since we were staying for 6 days and wanted more space. I confirmed that the new room would be pet friendly and they said yep, good to go.

I receive a very rude & confrontational call from the assistant manager saying our dog has been barking non stop and they are getting complaints. I was sitting with my dog in my room at the time of the call, he was dead silent and actually rarely barks as it is. I explained that I took had heard the dogs across the room barking but it wasn’t my dog. She continued to repeat herself saying she is addressing my dogs barking and telling me I need to be a responsible dog owner. I continued to clarify that it was not my dog. She then accused me of sneaking my dog in and not disclosing we had a dog. I said my dog was in my arms when I checked in and I had to fill out a pet form. She continued to talk over me, repeat herself about her accusations of my dog barking. She told me she doesn’t need to be repeating herself so I asked her why she’s been repeating herself and why we’re still on the phone and she ended the call. Moments later I hear the neighbour dog barking again. So I called the front desk to notify the assistant manager.

As I was leaving to take my dog for another walk, she stops me in the hall and asked if I filled out a pet form. I said yes, you just spoke to me on the phone and she continued to ask me more questions about my dog.

For a hotel that claims to be pet friendly, they certainly are not friendly at all. This is not a pet friendly hotel and should not be advertised as such unless you want to be accused and...
