First time that I have been this unhappy with a hotel in a long time. I had stayed at the hotel 2 times in the last 2 months totaling 35 total days in hotel. I had quite a few more to stay over the next months in this area.
My first issue is that they do NOTHING for IHG Rewards members. Even a single bottle of water, a newspaper, a "Welcome back to a valued member" would have been nice. I had commented on this one time and the front desk clerk acknowledged that they don't and apologized. He suggested that I fill out a comment card for the issue.
My second issue was regarding the air conditioning. The hotel lobby and guest area was very hot on several days with even the staff commenting on the heat. Air conditioning in the common areas and rooms were minimal at best. I talked to the front desk and they suggested that I fill out a comment card.
Lastly, seems that you have to unplugged the lightbulbs when they go bad and leave them on the table or they will never check them. IF I put them on the table, they did put in a new one.
I judge any company or hotel not by the problems that they have but how they respond to them. The last straw for this hotel was the next issue.
I noticed that the rate (supposedly a corporate rate) was significantly higher than a rate I could get off the internet. I asked for some consideration of this fact for last reservation and for future reservations since I still had at least 30-45 days more in the hotel. The clerk made a note in the file and said that the manager would look at it in the morning. When I got my bill, i noticed that there was no consideration given. I mentioned to the front desk clerk that i was not very happy about that and I felt the need to find more competitive lodging in the area.
Next, the front desk clerk called the front desk manager and explained, in spanish, not knowing I fully understood, that I would not be returning because I was not happy with the hotel value for the cost. The manager never even looked at me, never asked me any questions, never got any feed back. Basically responded "oh well' and walked off.
On a positive note, the normal front desk staff and the security/concierge staff were exceedingly polite and friendly.

Our room was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, and the bed was exceptionally cozy, ensuring restful nights.
The complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations, offering a wide selection to suit all tastes. The restaurant staff was truly outstanding, consistently replenishing food items, maintaining spotless tables, and ensuring coffee and refreshments were always available. Their attention to detail and efficiency were impressive. Housekeeping also provided excellent service, keeping our room fresh and tidy each day.
A noteworthy discovery during our stay was the tour vans frequently parked in front of the hotel. After a few days, we learned they were a taxi service available to guests, offering rides at competitive rates similar to Uber or regular taxis. This was an excellent and convenient option, and I would suggest the hotel provide signage or inform guests about this service at check-in.
