My favourite hostel in all of Chile and probably even south America. Sure it may not have parties and big social events as it’s nothing near a party hostel but it’s calming, clean, calm and beautiful.
I feel at home here, relaxed and love using the facilities as they’re clean and well maintained.
I would like to extend my thanks to Pato the receptionist who was extremely helpful to me during my stay with organising which places I should go on the Carretera Austral given he has cycled the whole thing.

Read moreCasa Apel is a charming hostel in a beautiful house all made in wood. In the nice garden, you can prepare a barbecue or find good organic apples! The chill space is perfect to read a book or practice yoga during the rainy days. While the living room is the heart of the hostel to meet people and share a nice moment around a drink. And to discover the volcan, the cascada and others, the hostel has a great contact to visit these magic places with a local guide. Read moreWow, what an amazing time I had here. The staff and volunteers were incredibly nice and always ready to help. I was a volunteer as well and stayed for 2 and a half weeks. I immediately felt accepted and at home in a super clean hostel. The kitchen is great, with everything you may need well organized in cabinets. You can meet people from all over the world and most are open to travel together. The volcano nearby is easily accessible by bus, as well as the city centre.
