Hostal Tatys House — Hotel in Punta Arenas

I was fortunate enough to meet Claudia and Daniele while flying to Punta Arenas from Santiago. My friend and I really had no where to stay and Claudia and Daniele opened their doors very late at night for us. They were very welcoming and accommodating to us even though we were only there for one evening. They provided breakfast for us in a small intimate dining area that is being renovated to add more modern space and allow more light to enter. The shower was warm and wifi worked great. This hostel is quite good located. If you have a lot of luggage it's a bit of a walk from the bus station though it's worth it. The rooms were very clean and cozy and luckily heated. ( we were there during high season where it can still be quite cold outside..)||The breakfast was simple but good. The hostel owner was very helpful and gave us some tips on what to do around the town and where to book tours for some excursions to see the penguins or sea lions.||||All in all a pleasant stay which we were able to pay with credit card...

We were sent to this hostel because the hostel we booked overbooked us. They told us it would be the same price and when it came time to pay, the owner increased the price and didn't do anything to explain or understand, even though we had a confirmation from the other hostel.
