DANGEROUS: VIOLENT OWNER! The lady owner was very aggresive and humiliated us verbally when we wanted to stay inside the common area to warm up a little bit and escape the wind. After two nights of paying for a shared dormitory we changed for a tent. Literally the place is segregated with different entrances, bathrooms and kitchens (a dusty old shack) because you pay less. It is like in the USA where the blacks had different toilets. When we said that this is unacceptable and demanded our rights as human beings (to be able to warm ourselves after a long day) she bece very violent and told us to leave. Just like that! It did nor matter that we had a reservation. Nobody humiliated us like this! She then started dismantling my tent and trying to rip it. When I tried to stop her she GRABBED A BIG ROCK AND TRIED TO HIT US WITH IT. If she had dropped it most likely me or my girlfriend would now be in a coma. A place from where you are kicked out and threatened just for voicing your opinion should not be allowed to receive tourists. They do not care that we crossed the oceon to come here and have no respect. Just a walking...
Read moreI could not find this place for about 15 minutes of driving around the block until I realized this hostel is a concrete building covered in graffiti. No signs whatsoever indicating that it's the place you're staying.
The check in time is also very early, so if you do intend on staying here, make sure you get there well before it gets late. I would not want to be stuck outside this place at night.
I didn't end up staying here, but I wouldn't recommend it. There are many many other hostels in much better locations that offer the same thing for...
