Restaurant & Emporio Okusa — Restaurant in Punta Arenas

Waiters doesn’t speak English or speak very poor. We were trying to make an order for 1 h. We had make an order with help of a different waiter, then after a while a third waiter approached us to clarify the details. It appeared that my order for “rare steak” they had written as medium. It took 1 h to make an order for our group. After that they forgot about my beer and the waiter didn’t understand the issues because he doesn’t speak English at all. The food itself was okay even nothing special, but my friends were surprised that their steak came with potato chips, not French fries, but chips like Lays. Also the waiter never asked about...

We had dinner here, we saw good reviews but we had an ever better experience. Food was amazing. Best king crab I have ever eaten, ceviche was made with super fresh fish and regarding wines… we were offered to go in the basement floor to choose which wine to drink. Nice touch. Took a carmenere and enjoyed every sip of it. Juan Vera attended us for all the evening, very professional, but unfortunately I couldn’t get him to share the recipe of the bread. Just bread is phenomenal, picture this. Don’t even think to go to another restaurant in Punta Arenas, come here...

Food was good, service was a little lacking. The atmosphere was great though. The place didn't have a lot of customers where I was there, and I told the waiter I was in a rush, ordered my food and after 20 minutes of waiting I had to get out of my chair to find someone to tell my waiter I needed the food to go. About 5 minutes later the food showed up on a plate, not ready to go. lf you're in a rush, I don't recommend it here, if you have time, I totally recommend it.
