I’m posting the following for my friend who stayed at hotel Dunas with me in August: ||First of all I loved my stay at Dunas hotel. Nice&quiet location and yet close to all the bustling night life. Nice, clean and tidy rooms. And the front "yard" with benches, were you can sit and enjoy the cooling afternoon. :-)||But here is why I must write this post: I went for a walk out of the San Pedro city center in the afternoon and managed to get tangeld up in a rather dramatic and unusual way. I was in REAL danger and got myself in BIG trouble. Without knowing any Spanish and with a acute need for help, I could not have had more luck with the staff at the hotel. As soon as they learned about my trouble from my friend who was in the hotel at the time, they immediately went out of their way to help me. The hotel owner sent a car with my friend to find me, argued me out of the situation and helped me in all possible ways. Afterwards they made sure I got all the necessary medical treatment I needed. So friendly, so forthcoming, so warm and so caring! Even a mum could not have done more for her son!||Five star for the facilities and SIX stars for service and kindness! ||Thank you! Thank...
Read moreThis hotel is only a 10 minutes stroll from the "main drag" and is in a quieter area of the town. The hotel is a "motel" style and and quit rustic but in its own way really nice. Reception is just thru the front gate and is also where you have your breakfast. Check in was easy and very friendly.||We had Room 4 which was a reasonable size with 2 comfy single beds, A wardrobe, safety box, a table and 2 chairs, there was minimal laying out space. The room had an enclosed rear patio and a front shared verandah with a table and chairs.||There is no TV or A/C or coffee/tea makings. The hotel is quiet at night.||The toilet/shower was fine with free toiletries and a hair dryer. Breakfasts were fine, sort of continental style but you could get eggs cooked any style.||||I enjoyed my 3 nights here and would definitely...
Read moreCentrally located hotel with free car parking.||Basic breakfast provided, and that was ok.||There is a heater in the room, but in he warmer months there is just a small fan for the hot days. My room was boiling and struggled to sleep.||Also, the blinds are useless, and as soon as the sun rises, the room is very bright.||Bring our own shower gel as the single sachet that’s provided isn’t great.||We had a power cut as well, showers or toilets didn’t work in the morning.||One other wierd thing was that the hotel wanted us to pay cash only, and then refused to give a receipt for the cash payment. I guess it’s come sort of ‘tax reduction’ scheme from them.||I would no return and would only recommend for 1 night if you can’t find...
