Hostal Nativo Atacama — Hotel in San Pedro de Atacama

We were moved here from Hostel Possada as they were apparently full, however its a little scam they are running where the owners of this hotel will let you stay a night then demand a lot more money the next day than what you booked for at Possada - even if youve fully paid, they say its not their problem as its a different hostel and you should sort that with them but they want paying.

Be very careful if youre moved here!! They dont speak English either and approached us in a group asking for additional money - we didnt feel particularly safe here as a couple having not booked the...

We had a wonderful stay and Paola was super friendly and helpful with everything including helping us with our transfer to calama and allowing us to check in early and check out late also. The room had private bathroom with TV and free wi-fi, the rooms were very clean. Also, there is a shared kitchen and terrace area for you to use. Location wise - one street from the main street. Durante o planejamento da viagem para o Atacama, eu e meu marido optamos por economizar na hospedagem para investir em uma das melhores agências de passeios. Assim, procuramos as opções aqui no trip e, conscientes de que seria um local bem simples (e barato!), optamos pelo Barros Nativo. Ser um local simples não era a questão, o problema foi a falta de água que afeta a região em que ele se localiza. Apesar de ser bem localizado em termos de proximidade com a rua Caracoles, durante o dia não tem água (todos os dias da nossa estadia). Então, chegar empoeirada de um passeio no meio da tarde (para fazer outro no fim do dia) e nao ter como tomar banho foi f*. A água só aparecia no chuveiro depois das 22h. E isso implicava também na limpeza da cozinha comum, pois á noite ficava cheia de louça suja, restos de comida. A temperatura da água também era um problema, muito quente ou muito fria, difícil acertar. O café da manhã é oferecido em outro estabelecimento e somente a partir das 8:30h. Ou seja, só aproveitamos do café no dia da nossa partida, pois todos os passeios matinais saem antes desse horário. E eles não oferecem nenhum tipo de lunch box (como a maioria dos hostels/hotéis) para quem sai muito cedo para os passeios. A cama era muito boa. O banheiro, minúsculo (outro ponto negativo). Apesar de ser gerenciado por uma família (bolivianos, acho) super prestativa e gentil, as limitações estruturais me forçam a não recomendar este hostel, pois eu não me hospedaria...
