EPIC TOWER 映星滙 — Hotel in Cotai Landfill Zone

I had a not so good experience staying at this hotel. I arrived around 3:15pm and the room was still not ready. Front desk staff told us that we still need to wait another 45 minutes or so, and offered us free welcome drinks at the lounge beside, well that’s the least they could do when check-in time was supposed to be at 3:00pm. I requested higher floors and they only gave me a room on the 17th floor, and there are like 30+ floors. They told me that’s the only room available, I’m disappointed in that as I have booked my room a few days ago and waited so long at checkin.I requested a non-smoking room, but when I entered the room there was a pungent smell of cigarette smoking. I immediately contact front desk and requested a room change but they refused and told me that’s the only room they have available (would that be possible in such a big hotel?). The hotel just brought an air purifier, which only kill germs but does not deodorize, and we had to face with the smell of cigarettes during our stay.In general the room was spacious and had modern design, just not too practical. The bathroom is large but the shower and the bathtub is very far separated, which is very inconvenient after a bath to walk all the way to the shower when you’re all wet. They also have an electric toilet, but the toilet board itself is very small, I wonder how a tall foreigner can sit on it?One thing I would like to compliment is that the welcome fruits are very fresh and there are many snacks to choose from.The indoor pools is not up to standard as it is relatively small in size, only good for children to play, and also they only had a few chairs for swimmers to use.The hotel is far from the main area of the studio city centre, we had walk quite a bit to the main area where all the shops and restaurants are.The entrance is “enclosed” but building besides, so feeling much isolated when entering from the...

Had a wonderful 5 nights stay at Epic tower.

From pre trip the team has been responsive via email and helped to arrange for side by side rooms and tentages for the girls in both rooms so they can sleep over with grandparents.

The rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished. Room serviced twice a day and mini bar with plenty of snacks and drinks replenished daily. One of the best room quality i have ever experienced.

Everything in the room is controlled via touch screen panels and a central controller tablet. It would be better if there’s more options for the light control though, not too flexible to choose which light to be kept on at night.

The butler team very thoughtful and attentive to our needs. Offering to help us navigate around the studio city, showing us the way to various eateries and entertainment facilities. The team also send a birthday cake to our room and helped to take photo as our family celebrated cake cutting. There are plenty of food and entertainment options within studio city. spent a day each at the waterpark and at the indoor playground where the girls had lots of fun.

10/10 recommended for family travelling with children...
