Greetings, fellow jet-setters and seekers of the extraordinary! If you find yourself in the dazzling wonderland of Macau, there's a sparkling gem that's not to be missed - the W Macao, nestled inside the Studio City complex. I recently had the pleasure of staying in one of their lavish suite rooms, and while it was nearly flawless, there were a few quirks that made my experience all the more memorable.
Let's start with the suite room. Exceptional quality, sumptuous comfort - it's the kind of room that makes you question if you've been living life wrong all this time. Plush pillows, dreamy beds, and a view that'll have you feeling like a high-roller even if you're just sipping tea in your bathrobe. This room was so good; I contemplated canceling my return flight and setting up shop permanently.
Now, let's talk breakfast. Oh, the breakfast buffet was a symphony of flavors and choices that could rival any Vegas buffet. You've got a wide array of options that'll tickle every taste bud in your party. From flaky pastries to exotic fruits and everything in between, it's a food lover's dream come true. Just remember, leave room for seconds, and thirds, and fourths.
But what about the pool, you ask? Well, it's a tale of two worlds. For adults seeking a leisurely dip, it's just perfect - a standard mid-sized pool where you can soak up the sun and sip your water bottle with style. However, for the little ones who crave waterpark adventures, they might find it a tad boring. Fear not, Studio City has an indoor and outdoor waterpark that'll leave the kiddos squealing with delight.
And speaking of Studio City, the W Macao gives you the golden ticket to everything it has to offer - the casino, the food court, and luxury shopping that'll make your casino wins (or credit card) quiver in excitement.
Now, here's the scoop for the savvy traveler - the W Macao just opened in 2023 September, and they're still ironing out some kinks. There was a bit of a line-up at check-in, but the staff, while super friendly, seemed to be playing the "new kid on the block" card. Check-in took a tad longer than expected, and when I asked about the nearby ATM, it was like they were hunting for hidden treasure. It's safe to say, they're still getting their sea legs, but I have no doubt they'll get there.
One small gripe - there were no fast lanes for us Marriott elite members. It's like being a VIP at a concert but having to wait in the same line as everyone else. Come on, W Macao, give us elite folks a little sprinkle of that VIP magic!
In conclusion, if you're a tourist ready to embrace luxury and adventure in Macau, the W Macao is your ticket to opulence. Lavish rooms, a delectable breakfast buffet, and easy access to Studio City's wonders make it a top choice. Just remember, they're still fine-tuning their game, so be patient and enjoy the quirks – it's all...

Check-in It took around 30mins to check in for my bookings (3 rooms). This is the longest check-in time I have had in my life. The service attitude of the check-in staff was not so good and made me feel like I need to wait for a longer time for check-in because you have booked 3 rooms
Rooms Total understand the rooms were not ready during Christmas time, so we came to get the room at night. We booked 2 rooms with a Cotai view (view with the Tour Eiffel) and the staff gave me the room with another side (room with a lower category). They said staff would come and help us to bring the luggage to the new room yet the one who assisted us just stand outside the room and didn’t assist us in bringing the luggagesssss to the new room
Bfast arrangement Perhaps the main restaurant cannot handle the crowd for the peak season thus they opened another floor for the bfast. However, the food options in the new area were very minimal. The most interesting thing was that the staff claimed that the food variety on these 2 floors is similar. There was only 1 table for serving food in the new areas vs. the normal bfast setting in the hotel restaurant. We decided to move back to the main restaurant for having bfast yet the staff told me that we needed to line up again...
Lost & found handling My mom realized that she left the camera in the room after the hotel so I called the hotel to check whether they could find it inside the room. The service centre girl said they would call back to let us know the findings. We waited for around 1 hour and no call from the hotel, so we went to the hotel and approached the check-in counter directly. The staff from the check-in counter mentioned that the room was vacant, and she issued a card for us to look for the camera by ourselves. No camera was found in the room, and we went down to the lobby to check the cctv. After we made the CCTV request the check-in girl said, “oh we have found your camera in the room based on the room” If there is a record in the system about the lost and found item, how come the staff didn’t tell me in advance and just issue a key and let them go. This is very unprofessional, and I don’t think this is the standard hotel protocol to handle the lost & found issue.
Frankly speaking, the hotel’s hardware is all good in terms of room conditions, yet the service standard is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel and even worse than a 3-star hotel. This is the worst 5-star hotel experience I have ever...
