Teamlab Borderless in Tokyo is better with more installations that were more interactive. But it’s still a recommended visit as no crowd meant you can take your time viewing and taking photos.
The place was worth 5 star but I’m only giving it 1 star due to the poor service and attitude of the staff during our last 10 minutes there. We paid extra for the flower garden & En tea garden experience. When we asked for directions to them, the male staff helping us told it is 10 minutes to closing and we had to hurry if we wish to experience both. He was really nice and guided us swiftly to both experiences. Thank you for the kindness.
We reached En Tea Garden at 655pm and the female staff at the reception did not hesitate to show us her displeasure for the late entrance, frowning and speaking to us in a disgruntled tone. We offered to take away the items, but she highlighted that it is an experience so items cannot be taken away. We offered to come back again tomorrow just for this, she replied curtly that it is not allowed.
I could hear her slamming the items while she prepped them inside. She served the tea & ice cream to our party of 5 at 659pm, reminding us AGAIN that they are closing. The installation was special with leaves, butterflies and flowers blooming from the items served. We had a child with us who was curious and asked questions. A different female staff (who was waiting by the exit to usher us out) approached us immediately to stop the conversation, AGAIN reminding us in a rude tone & manner that they are closing and that we should hurry.
We did not finish our items and stepped out of the exhibition hall at 7.07pm.
We took a few minutes each at these 2 installations (which we had to pay extra for) as we are aware that it’s closing time and that the staff wanted to end work. However, the foul behaviour from the last 2 female staff was uncalled for and extremely unprofessional.
Organisers should consider making an announcement 15 to 30 minutes before closing time to inform the guests OR have the staff verbally inform the guests who are still walking around near closing time (staff were all just standing around in groups talking among themselves).
The 2 staff with zero tact should also be given some training on customer service. I don’t think the extra 7 minutes that we took warranted that...
Read moreI recently visited the TeamLab exhibition at the Venetian Casino in Macau, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The entire exhibit was a feast for the senses, with dazzling interactive projections, real-time renderings that responded to touch, and captivating atmospheres that transported me to another world.
What really stood out to me was the uniqueness of the entire experience. This wasn’t just another typical art exhibit, but a truly one-of-a-kind display that brought together technology and creativity in a way I’ve never seen before. The level of immersion and interactivity made the whole thing feel like a living, breathing work of art.
Overall, I highly recommend the TeamLab exhibition to anyone looking for an adventure that will awaken their senses and inspire their creative side. It’s certainly an experience I won’t be forgetting anytime soon, and I look forward to seeing what other amazing creations TeamLab has in store for us in the future!
I suggest to buy the ticket online beforehand for extra discount and to avoid the...
