W Macau – Studio City Review A bold, glamorous stay that’s perfectly on-brand for W Hotels—W Macau is dripping with cinematic flair, befitting its home in Studio City. From camera flashes to spotlights and nods to old Hollywood, the movie theme is woven seamlessly throughout the property.
I stayed in the Marvelous Suite, which was on a relatively low floor (just level 8) with an okay view of Cotai’s skyline, including The Parisian’s Eiffel Tower replica. The suite itself was incredibly spacious with a unique layout, sleek bath, and signature MOMO bathroom amenities that added a touch of luxe.
I also experienced the AWAY Spa—hands down one of the highlights. The massage by the Thai therapist was amazing—truly relaxing and professional. The pool area was bright, open, and airy, with two extra pools: a hot whirlpool jacuzzi and a cold plunge, which made for a perfect wellness moment.
Tried all the dining options! Hawker Hawker was fun and chic—local street food-inspired but elevated, and both the dinner and breakfast buffet spreads were solid. DIVA offered a gorgeous, upscale Cantonese dining experience with refined flavors and an elegant, glamorous space. Drunk Tiger was another standout—a destination bar with city views, great vibes, and it houses the W Sound Suite, the first in Greater China. (The only other I’ve been to was at W Bali!) Super cool spot for musicians or just anyone who loves music. Also enjoyed drinks at the Living Room bar and the hidden A.P.D.—an agave-forward speakeasy serving inventive, expertly crafted cocktails.
The location is super convenient too, with direct access to Lotus LRT station through the Studio City mall.
Overall, a fabulous stay. The vibe, service, and facilities all hit the...
Read moreI recently stayed at W Macau - Studio City for a 3-day, 2-night trip to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and I must say, the experience was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to make this celebration truly special and memorable. Firstly, we were delighted to be upgraded to a room with a stunning view of the night skyline – it was breathtaking! When we stepped into the room, we were amazed by the thoughtful birthday decorations: balloons, a personalized "Happy Birthday" message on the full-length mirror, and other delightful surprises that instantly set the celebratory mood. The next day, the hotel arranged a delightful afternoon tea for us, complete with champagne, a birthday cake, and chocolate-dipped strawberries – such a luxurious and heartwarming touch! Our dinner at the hotel restaurant was equally impressive. The staff had arranged a personalized birthday cake with my boyfriend’s name on it, and the service throughout the evening was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making us feel special.
W Macau - Studio City has truly exceeded all expectations. Every detail, from the thoughtful room decorations to the impeccable dining arrangements, was handled with such care and professionalism. The team’s hospitality and attention to detail made this birthday celebration an...
Read moreThe check in line at the hotel was very busy during lunch hours and there was not a seperate line offered for Marriott members. We were upgraded to the Fantastic Suite because our original room was not ready after we waited for over 2 hours. Staff sent his regards and some welcome snacks to our room after check in.
The room was spacious with a full living room and dining room seperated to the bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The TVs were great for movies and I quite enjoyed the sound system installed on the room ceiling.
Amenities were well provided, from bottled waters, slippers, Nespresso machine, a kettle, a full mini-bar to Dyson hairdryer. Water from both tab and shower was strong and hot enough.
Staff offered to help prepare our room for bed by closing all the curtains and setting the lights to bed mode.
Room view could be stunning given the high floor unfortunately the hotel was surrounded by construction sites and the view was not that impressive─which is totally not the hotel's fault.
Otherwise this was still a satisfactory stay especially since everything in the hotel is still so new and used within a year. I would not say it is the best location cause it still took us half an hour walk to take public transportaions heading...
