Andaz Macau — Hotel in Cotai Landfill Zone

One of the most unforgettable hotel stays I’ve had in Macau! I stayed in the Andaz Suite, which is the top room category at Andaz Macau – and it absolutely blew me away. The suite is spacious, elegant, and beautifully designed, with a stylish living and dining area, a plush king-sized bed, and breathtaking views over Taipa, Hengqin Island, or the golf course. The bathroom was equally stunning – dual sinks, a luxurious soaking tub, a smart-glass shower with instant privacy, and premium La Bottega amenities made it feel like a true five-star sanctuary.

Loved the thoughtful touches like the complimentary minibar, high-speed Wi-Fi, in-room steamer, and dual TVs (65” and 55”). The suite’s layout and character really reflect the unique, artful Andaz aesthetic – bold, playful, yet refined. It’s hard to believe this is the largest Andaz in the world – the scale is impressive but it still feels warm and personal.

One of the biggest perks? Guests get access to the Grand Resort Deck at Galaxy Macau, home to the world’s largest rooftop wave pool and other incredible facilities. Plus, there's a complimentary shuttle that takes you right to the main Galaxy Resort area, making everything super convenient.

Dining was another highlight. I had both dinner and breakfast at Andaz Kitchen, and both were amazing. The spread offers a creative and delicious mix of Macanese, Portuguese, and Chinese cuisine – flavorful, high-quality, and beautifully presented. It’s a must-visit even if you’re not staying here.

I also checked out the brand-new Andaz Bar, which already feels like a vibrant social hotspot. They had a cool bar takeover by CYMK Guangzhou during my stay, and the cocktail menu was full of creative, well-crafted drinks. It’s clear this space is going to become one of Macau’s buzziest hangouts.

The gym was spacious and well-equipped, and I loved the heated indoor pool – such a calm, relaxing space after a long day. Everything is immaculately clean and designed with comfort in mind.

What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the staff. Every single team member I met was incredibly kind, warm, and attentive – genuinely committed to making each guest feel welcome and well cared for.

I stayed at Andaz Macau for 3 nights from 16-19 Dec’24 and this is my second time staying in the same property within a year. Andaz Macau has never fails to amaze me and it gives me the assurance that the staff will always look after me. My room is spotless and comfortable!Wayne from Front Desk did the check-out for me in May 2024 and this time I bumped into him doing the check-in for me. As pleasant as always, my check-in process was smooth. And he also assigned a nice room for me. Thanks Wayne.I do notice that the Concierge counter that’s nearest to the lift landing area at Level 6 always gives people the wrong impression that that’s the check-in counter. That poor girl had to keep on directing the guests to reception counter when they approached her which I find it unnecessary. Not sure of something could be done to make her life easier lol!!Bellman are very helpful and one of them helped me getting a Radio Taxi to Flower City. That was around 11pm plus on 17 Dec…sorry that I forgot to ask for his name. I think he’s a Filipino and he gave me a “taxi card”. So thank you for your help.During my stay, Ivy, Yumi and Tania have been providing turn down service for me. Everytime I’ll receive a handwritten note with little gifts to pamper myself. Though I don’t get to see them, but I still make an effort to find out who cleaned my room so that I can thank them here and knowing that their efforts are being appreciated. Stayed for 4 nights in one of the suites. The staff are very courteous - you won’t even need to call the lift yourself sometimes.. somewhat of a communication barrier but they really do try.

The room is modern and comfortable, the housekeeping staff are some of the best. They left nice notes for us every day, even organised our toiletries uniformly and left our slippers right next to the bed. They’d fold all our clothes and have the room soooo clean every single day! The soap, shampoo and lotion are great quality and we didn’t even need to use our own esp. since we have sensitive skin!

The breakfast was probably the best buffet breakfast I’ve had.. despite being the same selection every day, there is so much variety that it’s actually okay. Food quality is excellent. The same place becomes a restaurant later in the day. I’d advise to avoid the portuguese/macanese food. It’s not great.. the chinese options are better quality. Try out the bar also.. nice cocktails from a special mixologist!

The gym and pool are excellent! Gym/pool staff as the rest are very courteous and helpful. The Andaz really exceeded our expectations. The only downside is to access the galaxy complex (casino, restaurants etc) you need to go to G floor, cross the road and enter through the JW Marriott lobby. A direct connection would be a bit better. Direct connection to the convention centre was very convenient as we had conferences here!
