Hoi Shing Hotel — Hotel in Hong Kong

The facility seems to be unusually managed, the reception is not staffed so you need to call numbers from the business cards on the reception with the phone provided there. Then someone comes to let you in but there is no check in per se, nobody wants your ID or looks up your reservation, they just go around and look for an empty room. Meanwhile there are numerous pieces of someone's luggage stored in hallways for days, not sure who those people are. I was asked if I booked the whole room so I guess you can also book half a bed or something.

Beyond all that the room is sized by HK standards, clean and with all the usual amenities. Excellent location etc. So if you can live with the apparent ad hoc management, this is a good option for...

Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great location — close to the night market and just a short walk to the Red MRT line. There are direct buses from and to Airport.

Communication with host ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The host was very responsive and gave clear, detailed check-in instructions, which made everything easy.

Cleanliness ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The place was clean and had all the basic amenities, though the cleanliness could be a bit better.

Surrounding living area ⭐⭐⭐ The area near the entrance (before the hotel lobby) had a bit of a smell, but once inside, it was fine.

Rooms are too small and the lounge is occupied all the time with Chinese . However for convenience this is the best place as it is located on top of Jordon MTR station and a 5 mins walk to Temple street . Also another 15 walk to Arena of Stars and the rest of Tsim Sha Tsui.
