This is a well-loved hotel, mainly for it's location, right above the MTR station. Their before-sales service was excellent - we sent enquiries to different hotels and Prudential was always the first to respond in a professional and friendly manner. Our group of travellers have been to Hong Kong many times over but this is the first time we've booked with this hotel and it is also our last. We never got to stay the reservation as our flight was cancelled an hour before departure due to Typhoon Wipha. We were scheduled to leave on the day Hong Kong issued a T10 warning. (1) As we were only due to arrive at the hotel 3 days later, the booking cannot be cancelled! (2) As we prepaid this booking, we could not make any changes to it, ABSOLUTE NO!, not even when in the presence of a natural disaster. Included in the trip itinerary was China and we managed to cancel and have the bookings fully refunded almost instantly, no questions asked. TRIP.COM made a couple of attempts to appeal to the hotel to cancel and refund the booking but to no avail. Flight was cancelled when we were almost at the boarding gate, and we had to find our way out of the transit area while scrambling to send cancellation requests to the hotels. It was a nightmarish week, dealing with the aftermath of service providers that lacked empathy(almost non-existent)! A very painful lesson learnt - hotels have no EMPATHY. A prepaid booking is the traveller's way of confirming his/her arrival; a no-show through no fault of his/hers should be dealt with with empathy and exception. Prudential obviously has none and they have proven themselves, that RULES are RULES, natural disaster or otherwise. Unless their location is your only consideration for your stay in Hong Kong, you are better off staying somewhere else, somewhere where you will not be penalised for pre-paying and where your safety and interests come first before their Rules and...

“Restful stay” I had fond memories of my first trip to Hong Kong and the great stay at Prudential Hotel, hence for this trip, I choose prudential hotel again. The location is excellent, right on top of the Jordan MTR station with escalator access except that there are still some stairs and steps to navigate. The hotel had undergo a renovation I think as the interior is different from my last visit. Room is spacious for Hong Kong standard. But wish they can improve on the lightings inside the room as the lights can be quite dim. The mirror is inside the toilet which is inconvenient to apply makeup. There is also a tall mirror mount on the door of the wardrobe. All the drinks in the fridge are complimentary, including the soft drinks like Pepsi and 7-up. The housekeeping staff replenished the canned drinking everyday, but not the other complimentary beverage like soft drink etc as these are only offered once per stay. Two minus points are that the hair dryer is mounted inside the bathroom and there is no PowerPoint beside the bed to charge our devices. It is near to many food options, especially the famous Australian Dairy Company and Mak Man Kee noodle which is just a street away. A21 from airport stop directly downstair. To travel to airport, either take A22 - to get to the bus stop, make a right turn directly at the main entrance of the hotel, walk along the small side road directly to the end, make a left turn and one will see the bus stop infront of a church. Or take A21, from the front of the hotel building, walk toward Manning, past 7-11, at the first traffic light after 7-11, cross the road to take A21 heading in the opposite direction.

Great value for a big room, huge comfortable bed, big tv, good size bathroom, mini fridge, and a view from the 15th floor! Could the hotel do with a refurbishment? Sure .... but it was clean and a nice 4 star old school feel. Very safe with elevator access via room card only, it's location (exit D (or even E) Jordan station 50 metres from hotel entrance) was superb, and the 22 sqm room was perfect for my 4 night stay. Staff all very friendly, welcoming, even housekeeping staff were all smiles ! Great level of English speaking by all front of house staff. Didn't try the Food and Beverage offering in the hotel, breakfast seemed very reasonable priced Shops, restaurants, park, all within 5 mins walk. If you like a busy area but a nice and quiet hotel, this is it. At corner of Nathan Road and Jordan Road, south east, is a great bubble tea place with offers for 15-20 HKD, great taste, quickly prepared, friendly staff. Left my powerbank in error in my room, and that was swiftly traced back and delivered in the reception. Highly recommended! (1512)

The Prudential Hotel in Hong Kong stands out for its prime location, making it a top choice for travelers who value convenience. Its proximity to public transport, notably train stations, greatly simplifies city exploration. While the hotel offers limited parking, this is hardly a concern as most attractions are within walking distance or easily accessible by public transport. One of the highlights of staying at the Prudential is the impressive view it offers. This, coupled with a generous provision of complimentary beverages, adds a touch of luxury to the experience. The cleaning schedule, set at every two days, is thoughtful and efficient, ensuring comfort without being intrusive. The hotel's pricing can peak during high seasons, which is something to be mindful of when planning a visit. However, considering the overall quality and convenience it offers, the cost is generally justified. In summary, my experience at the Prudential Hotel was thoroughly satisfying, making it a recommendable choice for anyone visiting Hong Kong.
