Has heard a lot about this place so made sure to stop by during a day trip. very close to the MTR station, Jordan i guess. very close to the all time famous Temple street, so my favorite part of HK- lively crowd, was all around here. So i was damn happy to take a circuitous route to this place.
Good variety of hk style desserts with excellent raw material used to make them. Even a novice eater can actually notice that. Idk what everyone else is talking about bad service and non-availability of english menu. Just use common sense to avoid peak hours if you want to be slow to order and chill out like usual. I went at around 1pm, was seated and given the english menu promptly. You can feel the staff is used to do everything quickly so that pushes you to be quick as well. Staff didn’t understand even little english which was surprising as well as common in other places I visited. I already knew what to order so pointed that out on the menu.
Mango pomelo and rice balls in ginger sauce. The latter was a bit difficult to find on the menu so i used google translate and showed that to the waiter, he understood the bad translation after little thought and once he pointed that out, i knew we were on the same page. Having ginger sauce poured over my french toast a few minutes before in yee shuan milk company i was skeptical about that dish, but this sauce wasn’t sweet and had that strong gingery taste that i was expecting for the entire time. Mango pomelo was excellent and will always remain on my tastebuds. I went to another hk style dessert place in california just to have it again, but sadly i dont think any other place will come even close. The mango and pomelo used in that dessert took it to that legendary level. Rice balls were fun to eat too, i wasnt expecting they were filled, but there was nice black sesame (if I’m not wrong) powder in it. I liked the overall texture of the balls, how chewy they were and the sesame tasted when it came out. All that ginger sauce was a good complement with it, I’m sure my mom will be happy to see me eating this much ginger finally haha. To sum up, easy to get here, easy to order as a tourist if you’ve done your homework (just read google reviews on what to order) and probably one of the best places to satisfy your sweet tooth with hk desserts. I’m definitely going back here just for that...

Everything we ordered was simply delicious & super comforting🤤 A bowl of this, instantly warms the soul🫶🏻🫶🏻
It was superbly good 🔥 that my fam and I was super tempted to order other items on the menu to try, halfway through the ones right in front of us but our bellies were really exploding at that point hahahahaha🤰🏻
My fav? Black Sesame Paste w Walnut Paste!!! 🖤🤎 Lovedd how smooth and creamy it was & this bowl received the ultimate asian compliment, ‘NOT TOO SWEET’ 🥳 It wasn’t the thickest I’ve had but it was still very satisfying! Although the flavour of the BSSM wasn’t as prominent & strong as I would’ve liked it, it was still really yummss & fragrant 👃🏻, complimenting the walnut paste nicely😙
My belly was so satisfied that night 🌙 Perfect post dinner treat or supper!!

Read moreEvery time that I passed by this Dessert shop, there is a crowd of people waiting outside and it's frustrating to wait 30-40 minutes to have a free seat for a dessert. However, I am aware of that the shop got increase of popularity due to their Michelin Star recommended street food award and all of these people would like to try to get the famous and delicious dessert when staying in Hong Kong.
One day during my holiday trip, I had the opportunity to visit the shop and there was already bunch of people waiting outside of the door. I was trying to get a ticket asap. In front of the shop, the menu seems appealing, having different type of desserts and you want to taste everything.
Anyway, we're waiting for 30 minutes outside and we finally got our seat. However, my and my girlfriend had to share the table with another couple and the table was neither big nor small for four or five people. We ordered the famouse sesame x almond mix hot dessert soup and the mango pomelo sago. The size of the bowl is not that big, you can finish with 4-5 slurps. The Mango pomelo sago was sweet+fruity and has the consistency like a pudding. It's the star of the shop. The sesame x almond was not that sweet, but it's not bad as well. Both are delicous.
In the end, we have to pay HKD 80 for both bowl and I don't think that these will justify for the price due to the long waiting time and the size of the bowl.
I will not recommend to come back, but I can advise to pass by to try the dessert shop if it's your first try and you're curious...
