Marrigold Hostel — Hotel in Hong Kong

I had booked a double room, when I showed up they gave me a single since I was alone. Save your self the money and book the room that fits the exact size of the party, even if you want extra room. On my third night I was woken up to water dripping from the ceiling, the room is so small it was dripping on the bed and in the little square next to the bed and in the bathroom. When I emailed the staff about it, I asked if they could fix the problem or move me to a different room; I was going to be gone all day at Disney, They emailed back and said “I will fix this.” No more communication from them for the rest of the day. I had thought that it had been fixed. When I show up the power is out in my room and everything I own is damp, and nothing had been fixed. I was staying in A block and the managers are in D block so I had to go back downstairs and wait 20 mins for the elevator both times, just for the manager to say “yeah the power doesn’t see to be working in your room and the bed is quite wet. When do you check out?” Then when he could tell I was clearly upset he goes “you will stay in this room up here, go grab your stuff, we are doing the best we can.” THE BEST YOU CAN?!?! I do not understand why they couldn’t have emailed me about the issues and the solutions so I didn’t have to go up and down so many times. The elevators are always busy and it takes around an hour to go back and forth that many times. I am very disappointed in the service especially for the price. we booked marrigold hostel but was transferred by the owner to “New London Hostel” as he also own it and it is a “branch” of marrigold located at block A. Lift smells like rotten fish and is only up to 16F. you’ll have to walk your way up yo 17F were New London os located. You’ll pass by a mini dump site at the foot of the staircase and the area is soooo dirty! Once you get inside the unit, you’ll be greeted by another mini dump site of “cleaning” tools and supplies. The unit smells like it is bathe with chlorine or some another disinfectant which hurts the nose. when we finally get into the assigned room, it was too cramped for a family of 3adults and 2kids. double bed is not actually a standard double bed. almost half the standard size!!! the toilet’s door is damaged! you can only enter side ways coz its too small! you cant even stretch your arm in any direction! its too dirty and damaged! the shower is damaged as well! the heater is out of control! when you take a shower, the water flows out the toilet and floods the room! it was so messy that we left the place the very moment we were able to get a booking in a “real hotel”! it’s...

we booked 2 rooms here thru agoda for 5 days with a lower price, but when we came there, they cancelled our booking even we already paid it, their reason is....they cancelled it because their check in time is 1pm to 6pm only...we came late 10pm due to delayed flight, we told them that we do not know about that kind of policy since what is written in our booking confirmation is the no show policy...that is the time it can be cancelled.....they gave us a deal that they will give them back our payment thru agoda in a week time, and agoda will return it to us....we do not conforme with that arrangement, and told them they have to give us a room where we can stay... they provided us 1 room only...they call it a family room.. but the room is too small for we are 7 that time... giving us no choice...we get the room... we do not have even the assurance that we can refund our payment....a day after we learned that it was their style... since the rate during that time increased, they gave our room to other walk in.....as per location is concerned, it was good... near shopping ctr, and any form of...
