Premium Lounge — Hotel in Hong Kong

Avoid at all cost!! The staff was very nice but that's it. If you see a huge difference between ratings on Booking and Google, it's because they "force" you to write a "good" review on Booking when you check out before giving you your deposit back. I wrote a review but definitely didn't give them 5 stars. The single room was so tiny I couldn't even open my suitcase. That would have been fine if it wasn't infested by cockroaches. I had to kill dozens of them in my 3 nights there, afraid they would reach my bags. I told reception they said it was because I opened the window for 5 minutes, which was not the case. They said they would take care of it and spray bugspray but it was worse the next day.

Location was good, very close to the metro station. Had to queue at the elevator for 30mn one day though.

I honestly wish I had booked a capsule hostel!

Basically avoid unless you like...

I stayed at Premium Lounge for almost a month, booking a private room, and it was a nightmare. They charge “government fees” that change for every customer (HKD 18–50), which is clearly a scam. The reception staff, including Raman Paji, are polite but manipulative when it comes to money, and the whole team is in on it.The building is infested with roaches, rats, and bed bugs. I personally saw guests bitten head-to-toe, only for staff to gaslight them. On top of that, the place is crawling with *, drug dealers, and scammers. Losing your key card will cost you HKD 100, which is the only fair fee they charge.If you value your safety and money, avoid this place at all costs. I believe that for the price, this is a very good option for Hong Kong.

The location is perfect - right in the city center, next to the MTR, and very close to the ferry terminal. It’s hard to imagine a better spot. The staff are pleasant, and I was surprised to see that towels were changed daily, which I didn’t expect for this price.

Yes, the room is indeed VERY small - that’s true. I was lucky and didn’t have a roommate, but I can imagine that sharing such a small space with a stranger could be a lot less comfortable. But let’s be honest - all of this is in line with the price.

Given the cost and the location, I think this is a very, very solid choice. My experience was much better than I expected, especially considering the overall rating and the reviews I had...
